The Arlington County Police Department has released a list of crimes that have occurred over the past two weeks. Two of particular note:
- BURGLARY 02/09/10, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive. On February 9 at 1 am, a woman awoke to find an unknown man standing in her bedroom. When she yelled, the suspect fled the apartment. The suspect was a white male, 5’10” and 150 lbs. He was wearing a black sweater, jeans and a dark knit cap.
- MALICIOUS WOUNDING/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY 02/13/10, 2900 block of Wilson Boulevard. On February 13 at 8:20 pm, a man in an unknown green costume slammed his body into the exterior of a plate glass window at a restaurant. The window shattered and a customer was cut by falling glass. The suspect fled the scene.
The window-smashing incident happened at Mexicali Blues during a weekend bar crawl. According to someone who works at the restaurant, a man dressed up as a green beer bottle slammed his body against a large window in an attempt to scare his friends, who were inside. But the prank went wrong when the glass shattered and fell on a customer.
The man ran off and his friends covered for him, according to the restaurant employee. The window is still boarded up and awaiting replacement.

ABDUCTION-ARREST 02/12/10, 2300 block of Columbia Pike. On February 12 at 10 pm, a woman physically restrained another woman in her apartment to prevent her from leaving. The suspect also damaged the victim’s cell phone. Tracey Spooner, 38, of Arlington, was charged with Abduction and Destruction of Property. She was held without bond.

ROBBERY 02/05/10, 3200 block of S. 24th Street. On February 5 at 8:40 pm, a woman was walking and a man ran up behind her. He pushed her and stole her purse. The suspect was a 30-year-old African American male, 6′ and 200 lbs. He was wearing dark clothing.
ROBBERY 02/10/10, 1400 block of N. Veitch Street. On February 10 at 8 pm, a woman was walking when an unknown man pushed her to the ground. The victim rolled away and left her jacket behind as she fled. The suspect was possibly intoxicated. He was a 30-year-old, 6′ tall African American male. The suspect was wearing all dark clothing.
ROBBERY 02/14/10, 4100 block of N. Henderson Road. On February 13 at 11:30 pm, a man accepted a ride from two unknown African American males. While in the car, the suspects stole money from the victim and forced him to exit the vehicle.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY 02/12/10, 2100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. On February 12 at 3 am, four unknown males approached two men exiting a car. The suspects assaulted the two men with a beer bottle and demanded money. The suspects left in a dark colored Chrysler Pacifica. Three of the suspects were African American males and the fourth was a white Hispanic male.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY 02/12/10, 6100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On February 12 at 7 pm, four suspects assaulted a man and attempted to steal his gold chain. They fled the area. All suspects were white Hispanic males.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY (SERIES)-ARREST 02/14/10, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On February 14 at 8:30 pm, a man assaulted several people at a bus stop. Christopher Wilkerson, 29, of no fixed, was charged with two counts of Assault and Battery. He was held without bond.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 02/14/10, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On February 14 at 2 am, a man assaulted a cab driver and then punched a window of the cab. Police located the suspect and took him into custody. James Cillian, 26, of Reston, was charged with Assault and Battery, Destruction of Property and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $3,000 bond.
BURGLARY 02/05/10, 1500 block of S. Arlington Ridge Road. On February 5 between 10 pm and 11 pm, an unknown subject forced entry into a locked apartment complex and then entered several unlocked vehicles in the parking deck. The suspect was an African American male wearing khaki pants, a grey sweatshirt and a blue knit cap.

BURGLARY-ARREST 02/15/10, 4300 block of N. Lorcom Lane. On February 15 at 9:20 pm, a man entered an occupied residence. Police apprehended the suspect on the scene. Seth Crawford, 43, of no fixed, was charged with Burglary. He was held without bond.
BURGLARY 02/14/10, 1100 block of N. Kensington Street. On February 14 between 11:30 am and noon, an unknown subject entered and apartment and stole various items. There is no suspect description.
BURGLARY (SERIES) 02/15/10, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 6 pm on February 14, and 12:30 am on February 15, an unknown subject broke into three kiosks inside a mall. Various items were stolen and there are no known suspects.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 02/14/10, 5000 block of Lee Highway. Between 3:30 pm on February 13, and 8 am on February 14, an unknown subject broke into a business through a front window. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 02/05/12, 6100 block of N. 9th Street and 6200 block of N. 12th Street. Between 10 pm on February 4, and 6 am on February 5, an unknown subject entered at least five vehicles in the area and stole various items. The vehicles had been left unlocked. There is no suspect description.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 02/12/10, 1100 block of N. Kirkwood Street. On February 12 between 10 am and noon, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles and stole purses that were visible from the outside of the cars. There is no suspect description.
