A kid involved in the theft of watches from a store in the Pentagon City Mall went to great lengths to try to avoid getting caught by police.
According to this week’s crime report, the juvenile fled to the Pentagon City Metro station and then ran through a Metro tunnel with police in hot pursuit. He was eventually arrested at the Pentagon Metro station.
Metro trains were stopped in the area during the pursuit, according to police.
GRAND LARCENY-ARREST 11/11/10, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On November 11 at 9:30 pm, several subjects stole watches from a store at the mall. They were located by police in the Pentagon City Metro Station. One subject fled from police into the metro tunnel. Trains were stopped until the subject was apprehended at the Pentagon Metro Station. Two juveniles were detained and petitions are pending.

ABDUCTION/MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST 11/11/10, 3500 block of S. 17th Street. On November 11 at 2 am, a man assaulted his female roommate’s boyfriend, prevented her from leaving the area and calling police. The woman and her boyfriend were eventually able to call the police. Eberildo Chicojoy, 37, of Arlington, was charged with Abduction, Malicious Wounding, and Prohibiting an Emergency Phone Call. He was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST 11/10/10, 1200 block of S. Courthouse Road. On November 10 at 4 am, two male roommates argued. One subject cut the victim on the arm with a knife. Gregory Amet, 31, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.
ROBBERY 11/12/10, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. On November 12 at 4 pm, a man was walking into a pharmacy with currency in his hand when an unknown male took the money from the victim’s hand and fled. The suspect is described as an African American male in his 50’s, 5’8″ and 250 lbs. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
ROBBERY 11/15/10, 1200 block of S. Hamilton Drive. On November 15 at 6 pm, two unknown men knocked another male to the ground and stole his jacket. They fled to a waiting dark green sedan. The first suspect is described as an 18 year-old Asian male, 5’6″ and 200 lbs. He was wearing a brown winter hat, a black jacket and jeans. The second suspect was wearing a black jacket with a hood.
ATTEMPT ROBBERY 11/15/10, 1400 block of S. George Mason Drive. On November 14 at 5 am, an unknown man approached a woman walking and asked her for money. When she refused, he followed her, and then assaulted her. The suspect is described as a 25 year-old African American male, 5’5″ and 145 lbs. He was wearing dark clothing.
ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST 11/12/10, 1200 block of N. Irving Street. On November 12 at 6 pm, a man assaulted an officer when he was placed under arrest for public intoxication. Kamel Mallek, 51, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement, Possession of a Schedule IV Drug, Resisting Arrest and Drunk in Public. He was held without bond.
ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST 11/14/10, 2600 block of Columbia Pike. On November 14 at 2 am, police responded for a fight in progress and an officer was assaulted. Alirio Roque-Baires, 26, of an unknown address, was charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement. He was held without bond.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY 11/10/10, 2600 block of S. Shirlington Road. On November 10 at 1:20 am, a man was assaulted by a man known to him.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 11/12/10, 2800 block of Columbia Pike. On November 12 at 1 pm, a man assaulted the manager of a store. William Davis, 43, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and battery. He was held on a $1,250 bond.
GRAND LARCENY OF AN AUTOMOBILE-ARREST 11/10/10, 700 block of Army Navy Drive. On November 10 at 9:45 pm, officers located a man in stolen vehicle. Daniel Burgess, 22, of Alexandria, was charged with Grand Larceny of an Automobile, Petit Larceny, Possession of Marijuana, and No O.L. He was also wanted on seven other financial crime warrants out of Arlington. He was held without bond.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY-ARREST 11/11/10, 400 block of N. Thomas Street. On November 10 at 10:45 pm, officers located two juvenile males with a stolen moped. They were detained and petitions are pending.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 11/12/10, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On November 7 at 7:30 pm, a person entered a mall business and stole several items.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST 11/11/10, 3500 block of Wilson Boulevard. On November 11 at 3 pm, two men were found in a building that is set to be demolished. David Huke, 46, of no fixed address, was charged with Unlawful Entry and Possession of a Schedule II Drug. He was held on a $4,000 bond. Sean Smith, 39, of no fixed address, was charged with unlawful Entry. He was held on a $1,000 bond.
ATTEMPT BURGLARY 11/12/10, 2000 block of N. Cameron Street. Between 11 pm on November 11, and 5 am on November 12, an unknown subject attempted to enter a residence through a bathroom window. There are no known suspects.
ATTEMPT BURGLARY 11/16/10, 700 block of S. Monroe Street. Between 7 pm on November 10, and 1 pm on November 16, an unknown subject attempted to enter a church by prying at a window. Entry was not gained and there is no suspect description.
LARCENY (SERIES) 11/16/10, 1200 block of S. Joyce Street. On November 16 between 8 pm and 9 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two lockers at a gym and stole various items. There is no suspect description.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 11/11/10, 1600 block of N. Oak Street. Between 6:30 pm on November 10, and 7:45 am on November 11, an unknown subject broke into at least two cars in the same parking garage. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects
LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 11/15/10, 5200 and 5600 blocks of Wilson Boulevard. On November 15 between 6:30 pm and 9 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least three vehicles by smashing a car window. Various items were taken and there are no known suspects.
