Crime Report: Really Bad Day Edition

A woman had a double whammy of a bad day this past Friday night/early Saturday morning. Not only was her bike stolen from outside the Ballston Metro station, but a man tried to rob her at knifepoint while she was walking home after finding out that her bike was stolen.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 04/14/12, 1400 block of N. Glebe Road. On April 14 at 12:20 am, after returning to Arlington from DC to find her bike stolen from the Ballston Metro stop, a female walking home alone was approached by an unknown subject with a knife. The suspect demanded the victims purse, causing the victim to begin screaming for help. The suspect fled the scene on foot without the purse and is described as a white male, early-mid thirties in age, approximately 5’6″ to 5’8″ tall, with a semi-muscular build and a chipped or missing front tooth. He was wearing a Phillies jersey and jeans at the time of the attempted robbery.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 04/17/12, 3000 block of S. Randolph Street. On April 17 at 6:25 pm, a male subject standing in a doorway exposed himself to a victim as she was pulling out of a apartment parking garage. Billy Lollar, 28, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. He was held on a secured bond.

PEEPING TOM, 04/13/12, 2000 block of N. Daniel Street. At 11:30 pm on April 12, a female returned home to find a neighbor looking through her apartment window at her roommate. The neighbor fled the scene and police were unable to locate the individual.

BURGLARY, 04/15/12, 1000 block of N. Stafford Street. On April 15 at 1:30 am, a victim arrived home to find an unknown subject male subject standing in her living room. The suspect fled the scene immediately and the victim ran to a friend’s house. There were no items reported missing from the residence. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Asian male, approximately 5’8″ tall, with a heavy build. He was wearing a black t-shirt and dark pants at the time of the incident.

BURGLARY, 04/13/12, 3900 block of N. 5thStreet. At 3:50 am on April 13, an unknown subject(s) entered a victim’s apartment and stole various items. The victim was at home during the burglary, but had locked himself in the bedroom. The victim looked out his window to see a Hispanic male, wearing an orange t-shirt running away from the apartment while carrying two bags. Items reported stolen include a laptop, iPod, Xbox video game console and the victim’s wallet.

BURGLARY, 04/13/12, 2100 block of N. Troy Street. Between 6 pm on April 12, and 11:45 am on April 13, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence through a back door and stole tools. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 04/12/12, 1500 block of S. 28thStreet. Between 6 am and 5:50 pm on April 12, a victim returned home from work to find that his residence had been burglarized by an unknown subject(s). Items stolen included a laptop, watch, camera and clothing. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 04/12/12, 1000 block of N. Glebe Road. Between 6:30 am and 9:10 am on April 12, an unknown subject(s) pried open several doors to office rooms and a laptop was stolen. There is no suspect description.
