Crime Report: Sexual Assault Near Rosslyn Metro

A deaf and mute woman was sexually assaulted and robbed near the Rosslyn Metro station early Saturday morning.

The woman had walked out of the Metro station and was looking for a taxi when a man, possibly homeless, touched her inappropriately and took her money, according to police. Officers had to use written communication in order to gather details about the crime, since the woman could not hear or talk and was unable to communicate with sign language, police said.

SEXUAL ASSAULT / ABDUCTION / ROBBERY, 09/15/12, 1700 block of N. Moore Street. At 2:05 am on September 15, a female victim states she was sexually assaulted by an unknown suspect as she was walking from the Rosslyn Metro Station to find a cab. The suspect also robbed the victim of $45 cash. The suspect is described as black male with a thin build and beard. He was wearing all grey clothing at the time of the incident.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING / STRANGULATION / ABDUCTION / PREVENTING 911 FROM BEING CALLED, 09/16/12, 2300 block of S. 24th Road. Between 8 and 9:15 pm on September 16, an argument turned into a physical altercation between a female victim and her boyfriend. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. William Allen Kennedy, 53, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding, strangulation, abduction and preventing 911 from being called. He is currently being held without bond.

ASSAULT BY MOB, 09/15/12, 1900 block of N. Sycamore Street. On September 15 at 9:20 pm, three suspects assaulted their keg bus driver over a financial dispute. Two of the suspects were identified and arrested. Matthew ——, 23, and Cory —-, 23, both of Arlington, VA, were arrested and charged with assault by mob. Both were held without bond. Update on 4/2/13 — Charges against the suspects have been dropped, court records show.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 09/11/12, 1600 block of N. George Mason Drive. At 8:23 pm on September 11, a subject suffering from a gunshot wound to his right foot was found at the Virginia Hospital Center ER entrance by hospital staff. The subject refused to provide information to police and it was learned through a fingerprint scanner he was a fugitive from justice out of DC. Isaiah Green, 22, of Capitol Heights, MD, was taken into custody and awaits extradition. The suspect is being held without bond.

ROBBERY, 09/13/12, 3100 block of Lee Highway. On September 13 at 10:06 AM, an unknown suspect forcefully grabbed the victim’s recent purchases, including a filled prescription of Oxycodone. The suspect is described as a white, possibly Hispanic male, approximately 5’7, 160 lbs.

BURGLARY, 09/15/12, 2200 block of N. 19th Street. Between 5:33 am on September 14 and 4:42 am on September 15, a suspect is known to enter a residence on several occasions due to home video surveillance. The homeowners were unsure if any items were taken. Timothy Russell, 20, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary. He is being held without bond.

BURGLARY, 09/15/12, 1300 block of N. Herndon Street. Between the morning hours of September 14 and 10 am on September 15, an unknown subject entered a vacant home and stole copper pipes and other metals belonging to the property owner. There is no suspect description.

UNAUTHORIZED PHOTO/TAPING, 09/12/12, 2800 block of N. Beechwood Circle. A female foreign exchange student discovered nude photographs that her host father took of her without permission or knowledge. The victim returned to her native country and the investigation continues.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 09/13/12, 4900 block of S Chesterfield Street. Between 7:00 pm on September 12 and 7:30 am on September 13, an unknown subject(s) broke windows on multiple vehicles. There is no suspect(s) description.
