Bracket Room logoBracket Room, a “female-friendly” sports bar set to open in Clarendon next month, has revealed its food and drink menu.

The restaurant will offer upscale takes on traditional bar food like burgers, wings, ribs and fries, as well as higher-end items like Maine lobster and healthier options like ceviche, a “superfoods salad” and chilled asparagus. A brunch menu is also offered.

List of shooters at The Bracket RoomThe drink menu includes at least 15 beers on tap, from a $4.50 Miller Lite to a $6 Kona Big Wave. Sixteen bottled and canned beers are available, with prices starting at $3 for a PBR can. Numerous varieties of wine and cocktails are also available, but perhaps the most talked-about offering will be the 64 shooters, which are arranged on an NCAA-style tournament bracket. The “winning” shooter is $3 until March, while the 63 others are $6 apiece.

Bracket Room is located in the former Burapa Thai space at 1210 N. Garfield Street. Among the three partners in the business are Chris Bukowski, of  “Bachelorette” and “Bachelor Pad” reality show fame.

The sports bar hopes to open its doors at some point next month (August). A press release announcing the menu, after the jump.

Bracket Room, Arlington’s newest sports lounge and eatery, is excited to reveal their much-anticipated menu offerings. Meshing classic bar food with fresh and unique plates, Bracket Room will use only premium ingredients, sparing no expense when it comes to the quality of their cuisine. Chris Bukowski, along with partners Jeff Greenberg and Nicole Pettitt, spent months traveling around the country researching and sampling some of the most fantastic foods and drinks and seeking-out the best chefs in the country in order to create a dynamic menu with dishes to please every palate.

The tantalizing menu features several gluten-free items and vegetarian options, as well as salads which contain the healthiest superfoods and superfruits. Some unique entree highlights include the Petit Steamed Bao Buns and the Dim Sum Dumplings, both of which can be ordered as a meat or vegetarian option, Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Seabass in a Bag, and Lamb Lollipops. Of course, the menu is subject to change. Most dishes will be served with two complimentary dipping sauces, with additional available for purchase. Some saucy standouts include the Southwestern Pesto Mayo, Thai Sweet Chile, Lemon Chesapeake, and Bracket Room’s Secret Sauce.

Bracket Room’s neighboring gourmet pie shop, Pie Sisters, will have three items featured on the menu, as well. The two savory dishes, Chicken Pot Pie and BBQ Pulled Pork, will be served as 4-inch individual pies. The dessert offering is a “smashing” twist on a classic; {Apple Smash:} warm apple pie in a mason jar, topped with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and drizzled in caramel sauce.

When it comes to libations, Bracket Room’s list is unparalleled. Craft beers, edgy cocktails, and a titillating wine list will be presented in addition to 64 featured shooters. Earlier this year, Bracket Room held a “Shots Madness” bracket competition via their Facebook page, which coincided with the NCAA March Madness Tournament. The Gummy Bear shooter was the reigning champion, and it will be offered at half-price until the contest begins again next March. Bracket Room will also serve a brunch speciality cocktail, “Chris’ Hangover Cure,” which will use cold-pressed juice provided by Arlington’s South Block Cafe. It includes pineapple, carrot, lemon, cayenne, ginger, and gluten free vodka, garnished with a lemon, and topped with paprika.

People Water, all-natural bottled water with biodegradable packaging, will also be offered for consumption at the restaurant. For every bottle purchased, People Water vows to give an equal amount of clean water to a person in need. The water will be sold by the liter at tables and in 16.9 oz bottles at the bar.

Noted as one of the most anticipated sports bars to open in the DC metro area, Bracket Room is slated to open in August 2013.
