There may be a major snow storm that’s threatening to wallop the Mid-Atlantic next week, but some signs of spring are here nonetheless.
Among them: the ice skating rink at Pentagon Row will be closing after Sunday.
The rink, at 1201 S. Joyce Street, is scheduled to be open from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday. It will then close until mid-fall.
Following the closure of the ice rink, the rink will be dismantled and transformed into an artificial turf lawn and public plaza, which will host concerts and other events this summer.
