Crime Report: Airbags Stolen in Fairlington

Thieves stole the airbags from a number of cars parked in Fairlington early Tuesday morning.

Victims told NBC 4 that they woke up to find their car hoods open and their airbags missing. From this week’s Arlington County crime report:

GRAND LARCENY FROM AUTO (series), 140408013, 3000 block of S. Columbus Street. On April 8 at 5:46am, it was reported that multiple vehicles in the Fairlington area were broken into by an unknown subject(s) and airbags were stolen. There is no suspect(s) description and the investigation is ongoing.

Also on Tuesday, a cab driver was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in the Rosslyn area.

ROBBERY, 140408063, 1800 block of N. Clarendon Boulevard. On April 8 at 7:06pm, a taxi cab driver reported he was robbed at gunpoint by a passenger. The suspect later identified as Sami Troy Traboulsi, 28, of Alexandria, VA was taken into custody and charged with robbery.

BURGLARY, 140404038, 2500 block of N. Clarendon Boulevard. On April 4 at 1:11pm, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole two laptops and a Kindle Fire. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 140405057, 3600 block of N. Nelson Street. On April 5 at 9:42pm, a victim returned home after being out of town for several days and discovered his home had been burglarized. Various items of value were taken. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 140407016, 3800 block of N. 7^th Street. On April 7 at 8:10am, it was reported that an unknown suspect(s) forcefully entered a locked basement laundry room. The suspect(s) then damaged a dryer in attempt to open the coin box. There is no suspect(s) information at this time.

BURGLARY, 140407050, 1300 block of S. Rolfe Street. On April 7 at 6:32pm, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole two televisions and a Nintendo Wii. There is no suspect(s) description.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (series), 140404019, 4500 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. On April 4 at 8:26am, police responded to a parking lot where several vehicles had their license plates bent upwards and license plate frames broken. There was no other damage to the vehicles. There are no suspects at this time.
