This week’s Arlington Pet of the Week is Xander, a dog who can convincingly disguise himself as a lion — but who’s more of a lamb when it comes time for a hot bath.
Here’s what Xander had to say about himself:
Hello — my name is Xander. Actually, it’s Alexander Solon Gyungshin Min, but I only get the full name treatment if I chew on a particularly sassy pair of pumps. I came to my new home when I was only 4 months old, and quickly taught my best friend not to be too hung up on material things — especially nice Persian rugs and antique knick knacks. Oh yeah — and sassy pair of pumps, them especially.
I loooove going to the dog park, and looooove Great Falls. I also like going to work, which is like my second home really, because everyone loves me there. At work, I sit by the window in my plushie where it’s really sunny, and stare – and I mean, really stare – at my best friend for hours and hours, until she walks me around the block a couple o’times a day. We then go to the dog park, or walk, and play ball, or fetch, and run around some more.
Oh, and I just absolutely love taking a hot bath after a good run around the park. I sit in the bath, and just zen out. My best friend thinks that’s just the funniest thing; I don’t know why b/c it’s just so warm in that water. I also like looking out the window. When I see my friends walking outside, I make sure to let my best friend know so that we can hurry on outside to greet them. I bark and bark until she gets the leash. It’s sometimes a lot of work, but we all have to do what we gotta do, right?
There are so many things I love to eat — cucumbers, sticks, yogurt, sticks, apples, sticks, sweet potatoes, and more sticks! Did I tell you? I love eating sticks. And I love my best friend — she’s the best friend in the whole wide world!
