Environmental County Board Candidates Forum*

Arlington’s environmental groups host a forum with County Board candidates Audrey Clement, Katie Cristol, Christian Dorsey and Mike McMenamin. Learn about the candidates’ positions on parks and environmental issues affecting the county.

Arlington Historical Society Presents Mrs. Lee’s Rose Garden
Marymount University (2807 N. Glebe Road)
Time: 7 – 8 p.m.
The Arlington Historical Society will host author Carlo DeVito in the Reinsch Library auditorium as he discusses his book “Mrs. Lee’s Rose Garden: The True Story of the Founding of Arlington.” The event is free and open to the public.
Saturday
Saint Ann Family Fall Festival*
Saint Ann School and Church grounds (980 N. Frederick Street)
Time: 10 a.m. -4 p.m.
The day has fun for everyone, including rides and games for kids, live entertainment and variety of food. Adults will love the beer garden and sales with local merchants. Admission is free and the event is rain or shine. Proceeds go to Saint Ann School.
Ball-Sellers Antique Appraisal Roadshow
Carlin Hall (5711 4th Street S.)
Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Second Annual Appraisal Roadshow is a fundraiser for Arlington’s oldest structure-the Ball-Sellers House. Participants should arrive at 9:30 a.m. and bring an antique to be appraised by experts. Appraisal is $25 per person to benefit Ball-Sellers House.
Sunday
Kidsave Wine Tasting at ScrewTop*
ScrewTop Wine Bar (1025 N. Fillmore Street)
Time: 4 – 6 p.m.
Hear all about Kidsave in this 3rd annual wine tasting and fundraiser. Enjoy wine and appetizers with friends and meet the Hubbard and Buckley families. Visit with successful volunteers and adoptive parents. Registration is $50 on Eventbrite.
16th Annual Shirlington Oktoberfest (Re-scheduled)
The Village at Shirlington (4001 Campbell Avenue)
Time: 12 – 7 p.m.
Enjoy a German-style Oktoberfest! Attendees are invited to dress up for German food and drink from regional breweries. Tickets are $30 and include a glass and 10 drink tickets. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on the day of. Event is free for non-drinkers.
Walking Dead Season Premiere Party*
