A bomb threat called into the Arlington County courthouse building yesterday prompted a sweep with bomb-sniffing dogs.
An unknown male caller phoned in the bomb threat Tuesday afternoon. No explosives were found.

BOMB THREAT, 160816032, 1400 block of N. Courthouse Road. At approximately 1:20 p.m on August 16, an unknown male subject called an office within the courthouse building and made a bomb threat. A K-9 sweep of the building was conducted with negative results. There is no suspect(s) description.
On Monday night, a resident in the Radnor/Fort Myer Heights neighborhood, near Rosslyn, reported hearing a loud “pop” inside their home.
Police arrived and found that a single gunshot had been fired into the residence. From ACPD:
MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING, 160815043, 1200 block of N. Rhode Street. At approximately 9:17 p.m. on August 15, two residents heard a loud pop inside their residence. Upon police investigation, it was determined that a single gunshot round had entered the residence causing minor damage. Police conducted checks in the area and found no similar incidents. There is no suspect(s) description and the investigation is ongoing.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 160814041, 4100 block of N. Fairfax Drive. At approximately 7:15 p.m. on August 14, two known subjects got into an altercation with a male victim at a restaurant. All parties were then removed from the establishment by security. The known subjects followed the victim and assaulted him, causing non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled the scene and officers located them a short time later. Patrick Bazan Tineo, 27, of Centreville VA and Jose Bazan Tineo, 26, of Arlington VA, were arrested and charged with malicious wounding. They are being held without bond.
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 160812046, 1700 block of S. 12th Street. At approximately 10:40 p.m. on August 12, a victim reported being struck by a known individual who fled the area. A search by police was negative. Investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 160814008, 1-395 at Glebe Road. At approximately 2:57 a.m. on August 14, an officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle then increased speed and attempted to strike the marked police vehicle. The suspect fled on foot. Warrants have been obtained for the suspect. Investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 160815001, 4700 block of S. Columbia Pike. Between 11:30 p.m. on August 14 and 12:45 a.m. on August 15, an unknown subject forced entry into a business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a register. There is no suspect(s) description.
ATTEMPTED BREAKING & ENTERING, 160811052, 2600 block of S. Walter Reed Drive. Between 5:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on August 11, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a residence. Nothing was reported missing from inside the home. The investigation is ongoing.
PEEPING TOM, 160810010, 3900 block of N. Abingdon Street. At approximatley 6:08 a.m. on August 10, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Two neighbors reported witnessing a male pacing back and forth between houses, possibly looking into windows. The suspect fled the area once the victims witnessed him. A canvas of the area was conducted by police with negative results. The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, approximately 6’0″ tall. He was wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt.
