A woman was arrested last Thursday night and charged with biting an Arlington County police officer.
Police say the woman was in Rosslyn, arguing with someone she knew, but became “aggressive and hostile” after officers intervened.

ASSAULT & BATTERY ON POLICE, 2017-01190332, 1800 block of N. Nash Street. At approximately 10:06 p.m. on January 19, officers responded to the report of a dispute between two known individuals. While officers were interviewing the involved parties, the female suspect became verbally aggressive and hostile. As officers were attempting to secure her in handcuffs, the suspect allegedly bit one of the officers on the leg. Idella Tah, 38, of an unknown address, was arrested and charged with assault on police. She is being held on no bond.

BURGLARY, 2017-01230032, 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street. At approximately 7:38 a.m. on January 23, officers responded to the report of a late burglary attempt. A female victim awoke to the front door of her residence slightly opened. No items appear to be missing. There is no suspect(s) description.
LATE BREAKING & ENTERING, 2017-01230272, 400 block of N. Thomas Street. Between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on January 22, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description.
ROBBERY-PURSE SNATCHING, 2017-01180266, block of Washington Boulevard and N. Dinwiddie Street. At approximately 6:36 p.m. on January 18, officers responded to the report of a robbery that had just occurred. A female victim was walking on a sidewalk in the area when a unknown male subject ran up behind her and stole her purse. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’6″-5’8″ tall and was wearing baggy jeans, light colored shoes, and a blue sweatshirt. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2017-01190053, 2900 block of Glebe Road. At approximately 6:35 a.m. on January 19, officers responded to the report of a late assault. Upon arrival it was determined that a male victim was assaulted by an unknown male suspect and robbed of his personal belongings. The victim was transported to Virginia Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early thirties, approximately 6’0″ tall and was heavy set. He was wearing a black shirt, black jacket, and khaki pants. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (series), 2017-01210097, 3300 block of S. Wakefield Street. At approximately 8:44 a.m. on January 21, officers responded to the above address for a report of a late larceny from auto. It was determined that several other vehicles in the area were entered and air bags were stolen from their vehicles. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (series), 2017-01220069, 1600 block of S. Eads Street. Between 3:00 p.m. on January 21 and 8:49 a.m. on January 22, officers responded to four reports of vehicles having all tires/rims stolen. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
GRAND LARCENY x2 (significant), 2017-01210264, block of N. 16th Road between N. Greenbrier and N. Harrison Street. At approximately 9:52 p.m. on January 21, officers responded to the report of suspicious subjects tampering with autos in the area. Upon arrival, one subject was observed exiting a vehicle and another subject was observed nearby. As officers exited their vehicle, the subjects fled the scene on foot. One subject was caught quickly and the other was stopped by perimeter units in the area. Charles Edward Contreras, 19, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with three counts of trespassing of a motor vehicle, two counts of grand larceny, and petit larceny. He is being held on no bond. Antonio Vincente Shivers, 18, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with three counts of trespassing of a motor vehicle and petit larceny. He is being held on a $2000 secured bond.
