In this week’s Arlington County Police Department crime report, there are two incidents of Arlington residents charged with assault on a police officer.
One of the incidents happened early Friday morning in Ballston, while the other happened last Tuesday along Columbia Pike.

ASSAULT & BATTERY ON POLICE, 2017-03030034, 4000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 3:01 AM on March 3, police responded to the report of a dispute. As officers were conducting the investigation, a male subject became aggressive and pushed an officer several times before being detained. A warrant was secured for Assault and Battery on Police for Robert Holloway, 46, of Arlington VA.
ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON POLICE, 2017-02280024, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2:50 a.m. on February 28, officers responded to the report of a fight in progress. As officers were investigating the incident, a subject on scene became argumentative and aggressive towards an individual being interviewed by police. As officers were attempting to escort the subject away from the scene, he allegedly began to physically resist the officers, swung his arm and struck an officer in the face. Dorj Jargalsaikhan, 47, of Arlington VA was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. He was held on no bond.

BURGLARY, 2017-03060135, 1600 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:16 p.m. on March 6, officers responded to the report of a late larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown subject(s) entered a building and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
BREAKING & ENTERING, 2017-03060276, 1300 block of Fort Myer Drive. At approximately 7:39 p.m. on March 6, officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown subject entered a female victim’s residence. The female victim was in a bedroom at the time and heard noises originating from the kitchen. The victim believed the subject retrieved a knife from the kitchen as he made his way towards her location. The subject then tried to force his way into the bedroom but was unsuccessful in gaining entry. The subject fled the scene shortly after. A K9 track of the area returned with negative results. There is no suspect description other than he was wearing gray shoes at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series), 2017-03040037, 2500 block of N. Winchester Street. At approximately 2:17 a.m. on March 4, officers responded to the report of three subjects who appeared to be tampering with autos in the area. Upon arrival, it was determined that several vehicles in the area had been entered and rummaged through. Officers setup surveillance in the area and three suspects matching the witness descriptions were located. The three juvenile suspects were released to the custody of their parents. The investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series), 2017-03050073, 2200 Block of N. Pollard Street. Between approximately 6:00 p.m. on March 4 and 8:50 a.m. on March 5, an unknown subject(s) entered at least thirteen mostly unlocked vehicles and stole numerous items of value. There is no suspect(s) description.
RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE, 2017-03050030, I-66 West at Sycamore Street. At approximately 1:55 a.m. on March 5, officers conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle. Jordan Antwan Mathis, 18, of Temple Hills MD, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, DUI, and no operator’s license. He is being held on a secured bond.
TAMPERING WITH AUTO, 2017-03050116, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 11:26 a.m. on March 5, officers responded to the report of tampering with auto that had just occurred. Two unknown male suspects were allegedly witnessed using a tool to attempt to gain entry into a vehicle. A witness shouted at the suspects causing them to flee the scene. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 15-30 years of age, approximately 5’05” -5’09”, and weighed 170 lbs. He was wearing a black jacket and blue/white sneakers. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’05” tall and weighed 170 lbs. He was wearing a black jacket and blue/white sneakers. One suspect had a tattoo on his neck. The investigation is ongoing.
GRAND LARCENY (Apprehension), 2017-03030128, 800 block of N. Emerson Street. At approximately 12:13 p.m. on March 3, officers responded to the report of a late larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male subject stole items of value from the back of a business. Officers were able to develop a suspect description and take the individual into custody without incident. John William Harris, 50, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with grand larceny.
