Crime Report: Business Burglarized in Ballston

Someone broke into a business on N. Glebe Road in Ballston over the weekend and stole items of value, Arlington police said in a crime report.

Police said the burglar broke into the building on the 600 block of N. Glebe Road at some point between 11 a.m. July 1 and 7 a.m. July 3. Officers have no description of the suspect.

A police spokesman declined to specify which business was robbed. The block is home to a Harris Teeter grocery store, a Mercedes-Benz car dealership and an auto repair shop.

BURGLARY, 2017-07030047, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 7:26 a.m. on July 3, officers responded to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined between 11:00 a.m. on July 1 and 7:00 a.m. on July 3, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a building and stole items of value. There is no subject(s) description.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, 2017-07020082, 2700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. At approximately 10:20 a.m. on July 2, officers responded to the report of a sexual battery. Upon arrival, it was determined that a female victim had been sexually assaulted. A suspect was located in the area and subsequently taken into custody. Nosher Ali Ahmad, 34, of Bahrain, was arrested and is being held without bond.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2017-07030244, N. 24th Road at N. Underwood Street. At approximately 8:54 p.m. on July 3, officers responded to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined an unknown male subject exposed himself to a female victim. The subject is described as a white male in his twenties. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2017-07030047, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 7:26 a.m. on July 3, officers responded to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined between 11:00 a.m. on July 1 and 7:00 a.m. on July 3, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a building and stole items of value. There is no subject(s) description.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2017-07020189, 100 block of S. Old Glebe Road. At approximately 8:10 p.m. on July 2, officers responded to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined a male suspect exposed himself to several victims. Alexei Cordero Rodriguez, 43, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2017-07020105, 4100 block of Henderson Road. At approximatley 12:55 p.m. on July 2, officers responded to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined an unknown male subject exposed himself to a female victim. The subject is described as a black male in his early thirties, approximately 5’10”-6’0″ tall and weighed 180-190 lbs. He was wearing a white shirt and khaki pants. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2017-06300361, 2300 block of Shirlington Road. At approximately 11:03 p.m. on June 30, officers responded to the report of a late breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined between 12:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. on June 30, an unknown subject(s) attempted to force entry into a residence. No items appear to be missing. There is no subject(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2017-07020142, 1600 block of Kirkwood Road. At approximately 3:52 p.m. on July 2, officers responded to the report of a trespasser. Upon arrival, it was determined a male suspect forced entry into a residence and damaged property. Phillip Howard Cannon, 58, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with burglary, destruction of property, and petit larceny.

BURGLARY, 2017-07020251, 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:30 p.m. on July 2, officers responded to the report of a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined an unknown male suspect forced entry into a building and stole items of value. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a black male, 18-30 years old, approximately 6’0″-6’4″ tall, and weighed 160-190 lbs. He was wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2017-06290081, 1300 block of N. Wayne Street. At approximately 10:01 a.m. on June 29, officers responded to the report of an unlawful entry. Upon arrival, it was determined a male suspect entered a residence and damaged property. No items appear to be missing. Frank Bouknight, 29, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with unlawful entry and destruction of property. He is being held on a $500 secured bond.

BURGLARY(Late), 2017-06290197, 400 block of N. Barton Street. At approximately 6:25 p.m. on June 29, officers responded to the report of a late larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined between 10:30 p.m. on June 28 and 5:00 p.m. on June 29, an unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description.

LARCENY (Significant), 2017-06290169, S. 6th Street at S. Adams Street. At approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 29, officers responded to the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male subject allegedly threatened a store employee during a verbal dispute. Responding officers located the subject in the area and during the course of the investigation discovered he was in possession of burglarious tools. Trevon William King, 24, of Hyattsville MD, was arrested and charged with possession of burglarious tools, larceny with intent to sell, petit larceny, and possession of stolen property. He is being held on no bond.

FELONY HIT & RUN(Significant), 2017-06280273, 3400 block of S. 7th Street. At approximately 9:53 p.m. on June 28, officers responded to the report of a crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, it was determined a male victim was standing next to his parked vehicle unloading items when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The female suspect driving the vehicle initially stopped, but returned to her vehicle and fled the scene. The male victim was transported to George Washington University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a white female in her mid-twenties to early thirties, approximately 5’6″ tall and was wearing a white sweater. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY(Late), 2017-06280107, 3200 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 11:50 a.m. on June 28, officers responded to the report of a late burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 11:05 a.m. an employee arrived to open the store and observed a known suspect inside. The employee later found items of value missing and contacted police. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-fifties to mid-sixties and approximately 6’0″-6’2″ tall. The investigation is ongoing.
