This week’s Arlington Pet of the Week is Bear, a kitten who loves chasing lasers and being social with other cats.
Here is what his foster owner, Gina, had to say:
Bear is one of the hottest young kittens in Arlington. He’s small, dark, and handsome, with the perfect amount of floof. He’s committed to fitness, and enjoys running and playing both in his apartment and on his harness outdoors. And, he’s no wallflower. He’s been growing his network, engaging in playdates both with his peers and with more experienced cats in Northern Virginia.
It’s no surprise that Bear is becoming such a success on the NOVA kitty social circuit. He’s an alum of the prestigious Animal Welfare League of Arlington’s Kitten College, a program for neonatal kittens. He and his four litter mates learned not only impeccable manners and sharing, but how to eat, use a litter box, and make excellent biscuits under the watchful eye of his foster mom, Gina.
Bear’s adventurous and goofy charm made keeping him as a permanent resident irresistible. He’s now known as a “foster fail” and continues to live at Gina’s place in North Arlington. Look for Bear on one of his outdoor adventures. Or, maybe you’ll spy him playing fetch or chasing lasers with Gina’s boyfriend’s dog. In any event, don’t be intimidated by Bear’s glorious grey mane. This floofy fellow is thrilled to make new friends and acquaintances.
