An Arlington woman was arrested early Sunday morning after police say she slapped an officer on the 2800 block of S. Randolph Street, in Shirlington.
Police say they originally responded to the scene because the woman, who was allegedly drunk at the time, was “attempting to regain entry into a restaurant” after it closed.

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 160508009, 2800 block of S. Randolph Street. At approximately 1:40 a.m. on May 8, officers responded to the report of an intoxicated individual attempting to regain entry into a restaurant. While the officers were speaking with the subject she became combative and slapped one of the officers in the face. Debra Mae Edwards, 39, of Arlington Va, was charged with assault on police and drunk in public.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 160507008, 2400 block of S. Lowell Street. At approximately 4:04 a.m. on May 7, officers responded to reports of subjects fighting. Upon investigation it was determined that the initial assault occurred outside a bar in Fairfax County. Following that incident the subjects and the victim both drove to a location in Arlington where the fight continued and two victims were pepper sprayed. The suspect left the scene in a vehicle with four others. The suspect is described as a black female in her twenties. She was wearing a black dress at the time of the incident.
EXPOSURE, 160508015, 2100 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 6:23 a.m. on May 8, an officer observed a male subject exposing his genitals while walking by the metro station. Willie Leroy Jackson Jr., 33, of Arlington Va, was charged with drunk in public and exposure. He is being held without bond.
BURGLARY, 160507012, 923 N. Barton Street. Between 7:00 p.m. on May 6 and 6:00 a.m. on May 7, an unknown subject attempted to gain entry into a residence by bending a door handle. There was nothing reported to be missing. There is no suspect(s) description.
ABDUCTION WITH INTENT TO DEFILE, 160508003, 900 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 11:00 p.m. on May 7, officers responded to an apartment to speak to a female victim who reported she had been held against her will. The victim and the suspect had met earlier in the evening and returned to the suspect’s apartment where he attempted to restrict her from leaving by physically restraining her. Temidayo Adebanjo Obayomi, 27, of Arlington VA, was charged with abduction with the intent to defile and was held on a secured bond.
