A woman was walking down the street in the Pentagon City area Friday morning when some sort of liquid was poured on her head, apparently as part of a theft scheme.
Two women who were walking behind the victim at the time offered to help clean up the liquid. After the encounter, the victim walked away, only to realize that cash had been stolen from her purse.
From an Arlington County Police report:
GRAND LARCENY FROM A PERSON (significant), 160923027, 1400 block of S. Eads Street. At approximately 9:54 a.m. on September 23, officers responded to the report of a grand larceny from a person that had just occurred. When on scene, it was determined that a female victim was walking on the sidewalk when she felt an unknown liquid being poured on the back of her head. The victim turned around and two Hispanic females offered to help clean off the substance. The victim then continued to walk off and later realized an undisclosed amount of cash was missing from her purse. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5’6″ tall and weighed 150 lbs. She was wearing a long sleeve blue and white dress and dark pants. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5’6″ tall and 150 lbs. She was wearing a long sleeve shirt and pants.
Also in this week’s report, a man was arrested in the Courthouse area Saturday morning after he allegedly walked up to a woman on the sidewalk and grabbed her breast.
SEXUAL BATTERY, 160924027, 1800 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:25 a.m. on September 24, a female victim was walking on the sidewalk when a male subject approached her and grabbed her breast. The victim screamed causing the suspect to flee the scene. Officers located and apprehended the subject shortly after. Ramy Gabry, 23, of an unknown address, was arrested and charged with sexual battery. He is being held without bond.

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 160927018, 4200 block of N. 2nd Street. Between 11:42 a.m. on September 26 and 9:00 a.m. on September 27, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into a residence, damaging a window frame and screen. No items appeared to be missing. There is no suspect(s) description.
BURGLARY, 160927017, unit block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 4:49 a.m. on September 27, an unknown subject forced entry into a business but no items were reported stolen. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8″ tall and 140 lbs. He was wearing a white ski mask, white sweater, and jeans.
ASSAULT & BATTERY(significant), 160927033, 1100 block of N. Glebe Road. Following a verbal altercation, a male subject struck two known male victims in the face. The victims suffered minor injuries and did not require transport to the hospital. Warrants have been issued.
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 160925009, 1700 block of S. 15th Street. At approximately 12:25 a.m. on September 25, officers responded to the report of a domestic dispute. When on scene, it was determined that a verbal altercation had ensued between parties. One of the parties involved took a fighting stance, approaching officers and trying to strike them. After a brief struggle, the subject was taken into custody. While an officer was placing a seatbelt on the suspect, he attempted to bite the officer. Then while in booking the subject became combative again, causing multiple injuries to an officer. David Quinton Green, 23, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and drunk in public. He is being held without bond.
DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM, 160925005, 300 block of S. Army Navy Drive. At approximately 1:00 a.m. on September 25, police were dispatched to the report of shots fired. The investigation revealed a physical confrontation between two groups had ensued and one male subject discharged a firearm several times into the air. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’2″ tall and wearing a black cap, light blue shirt, and blue jeans. There were no injuries reported.
ATTEMPTED BREAKING & ENTERING, 160924021, 4100 block of N. 4th Street. At approximately 4:40 a.m. on September 24, officers responded to the report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival it was determined that a male subject attempted to gain entry into a residence through a window. The homeowner witnessed the subject, causing the subject to flee. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’4″ tall and weighed 130 lbs. He was wearing a white tank top and a black bandana covering the bottom half of his face.
BURGLARY, 160922035, 5600 block of S. 7th Place. Between 7:00 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. on September 22, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole numerous items of value. There is no suspect(s) description.
ROBBERY BY FORCE, 160922007, 1100 block of S. George Mason Drive. At approximately 3:17 a.m. on September 22, an unknown male subject entered a 7/11 and assaulted an employee while stealing multiple items of value. The suspect fled the scene in a white van with unknown tags. He is described as a black male in his thirties, approximately 5’11”-6’1″ tall and weighed 180 lbs. He was wearing a black button down shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a silver watch.
