Crime Report: Hot Lingerie and Pepper Spray

A Victoria’s Secret clerk was attacked with pepper spray when she tried to stop a man and a woman from stealing lingerie, according to this week’s Arlington County crime report. The incident happened last Thursday at the Victoria’s Secret store in Ballston Common Mall.

ROBBERY 04/07/11, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On April 7 at 2:20 pm, two people stole items from a lingerie store. When a clerk attempted to stop them, one suspect sprayed a caustic substance at the victim. One suspect was an African American male in his 20’s, dressed as a woman. He was wearing a gray sweater, black pants and carried a Louis Vuitton purse. The second suspect was an African American female, 5’2″ and 185 lbs. She was wearing black pants and carried a zebra print purse.

ROBBERY 04/08/11, 1000 block of N. Stuart Street. On April 8 at 2:40 pm, a man was walking with his wallet in his hand. An unknown male pushed him from behind and stole the wallet. The suspect was an African American male in his early 20’s, 6’2″ and 200 lbs. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.

ROBBERY 04/10/11, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. On April 10 at 1:20 am, an unknown man approached a woman walking. The suspect pushed the woman to the ground and stole her cell phone. The suspect was a white Hispanic man, 40 years old, 5’6″ and overweight. He was wearing a white cowboy hat and a green striped shirt.

ROBBERY 04/12/11, 2500 block of Columbia Pike. On April 12 at 5 pm, a man forcibly removed several dollars from a woman’s purse. The suspect is known.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY 04/09/11, 2400 block of S. Shirlington Road. On April 9 at 1:10 pm, a man attempted to force his father into giving him money. Sami Traboulsi, 25, of Arlington, was charged with Attempted Robbery. He was held without bond.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY 04/09/11, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. On April 9 at 2 am, two unknown men approached a man at a bus stop. They assaulted him and looked for money in his pockets. The fled when they found none. The suspects were both white Hispanic men in the early 30’s. One suspect was bald, 6’1″ and 180 lbs, wearing a gray long sleeved shirt and blue pants. The other suspect was 5’4″.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST 04/09/11, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. On April 9, at 1:30 pm, a man entered a movie theater without paying. The suspect assaulted a police officer when confronted. Michael Henderson, 55, of no fixed address, was charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement and Failure to I.D. He was held without bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 04/08/11, 3100 block of Lee Highway. On April 8 at 3 am, a man assaulted a female acquaintance. Vishal Oberoi, 23, of Oakton, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $3,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY 04/08/11, 1500 block of S. Fern Street. On April 8 at 1:30 pm, an intoxicated man attempted to hit a clerk in a convenience store. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’10” and 200 lbs. He was wearing a dark colored jacket with a white collar and a white t-shirt.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY 04/10/11, 2900 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On April 10, at 2:50 am, an unknown man assaulted a cab driver who refused to pick him up because he already had a passenger in the cab. The suspect was a 6’2″ African American male in his mid-30’s. He was wearing all black clothing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT-ARREST 04/09/11, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On April 9, at 1 am, a man was disorderly inside a restaurant. When officers approached him, he cursed and resisted arrest. Richard Goings, 29, of Falls Church, was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. He was released when sober.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT-ARREST 04/09/11, 1200 block of S. Joyce Street. On April 9, at 1 am, a man was involved in a fight in a restaurant/bar. [REDACTED], 30, of Arlington, was charged with Disorderly Conduct. He was released when sober.

BURGLARY 04/12/11, 2200 block of Fairfax Drive. On April 12 between 5 am and 1 pm, an unknown subject entered and apartment and stole several items. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY 04/12/11, 600 block of S. 19th Street. On April 12 between 6:45 am and 8 am, an unknown person entered a house and stole a lap top computer. There are no known suspects.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 04/09/11, 3700 block of S. 14th Street. Between 6:30 pm on April 8, and 7:45 am on April 9, an unknown subject entered at least three unlocked vehicles in the same area and stole various items. There is no suspect description.
