Crime Report: Unwanted Intrusions Edition

This week’s Arlington County crime report contains several items of note. On Thursday, a bullet was fired into a Pentagon City apartment. Nobody was injured and nobody knows who fired the bullet.

MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING 04/18/11, 1300 block of S. Arlington Ridge Road. On April 14 at midnight, an unknown subject fired a bullet into an occupied apartment. No one was injured. There are no known suspects.

Also on Thursday, someone stole packages from two Yorktown-area doorsteps. The packages were found, but not their contents.

LARCENY (SERIES) 04/15/11, 4800 block of N. 30th Street and the 5500 block of N. 34th Street. On April 14 between 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm, an unknown subject stole packages left by the postal service on two doorsteps. The theft was discovered when the packages were found in the street, minus the contents. There is no suspect description.

On Sunday a woman was grabbed and kissed against her will while jogging on the Custis Trail.

ABDUCTION-ARREST 04/17/11, 2000 block of N. Cleveland Street. On April 17 at 5:30 pm, a woman was running on a bike trail when a man grabbed her and kissed her. She broke free of his embrace and fled. The suspect was located by police. Tereso De Jesus Bonilla, 45, of Arlington, was charged with Abduction. He was held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST 04/17/11, 500 block of S. 23rd Street. On April 17 at 7 pm, two women assaulted two female acquaintances. Claudia Ruiz, 26, of Alexandria, was charged with Malicious Wounding and Assault. Meybel Ruiz, 23, of Alexandria, was charged with Malicious Wounding. Both were held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST 04/18/11, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On April 18 at 8 pm, two young men argued over money, and one cut the other with a homemade weapon. Police located both subjects a short time later. Demetrius Taylor, 21, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING 04/16/11, 1000 block of S. Frederick Street. On April 16 at 3 am, a woman reported that a man known to her assaulted her and stole money from her purse.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY 04/16/11, 4300 block of Fairfax Drive. On April 16 at 9:30 pm, a man claimed that his former employer assaulted him.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 04/17/11, 100 block of N. Thomas Street. On April 17 at 12:30 pm, a woman was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. He was located by police. Ebrahim Golabbaksh, 30, of Alexandria, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $2,500 bond.

PEEPING TOM 04/14/11, 900 block of N. Stuart Street. On April 14 at 10 pm, a man was seen looking into windows at a hotel. There was no suspect description.

PEEPING TOM-ARREST 04/19/11, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. On April 19 at 11:30 pm, officers observed a man peeping into an occupied apartment. Manuel Jimenez-Lopez, 30, of Arlington, was charged with Peeping into an Occupied Dwelling. He was held on a $2,000 bond.

BURGLARY-ARREST 04/18/11, 1100 block of S. Thomas Street. On April 17 at 11 pm, a man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and assaulted her. Jose Francisco Alvarado Mejia, 39, of Silver Spring, MD, was charged with Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault. He was held without bond.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 04/14/11, 4200 block of Campbell Avenue. Between 7:30 pm on April 13, and 3:30 am on April 14, an unknown subject broke into at least five vehicles in the same parking garage. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES) 04/19/11, 3800 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. Between 7:30 pm on April 18, and 8 am on April 19, an unknown subject vandalized at least five cars at the same repair shop by breaking the windows. There is no suspect description.
