A woman, wanted with a rap sheet, was arrested last week for a failed burglary along Columbia Pike.
Police say the suspect broke into a business on the 4600 block of Columbia Pike — home to a restaurant, a gas station, a market and an auto shop — but then “was unsuccessful in removing items.”
Police arrested her after responding to a call about a suspicious person around 1 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7.

BURGLARY, 2017-09070016, 4600 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 1:00 a.m. on September 7, officers responded to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officers located a female suspect on the property in possession of burglarous tools. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the suspect forced entry into the business but was unsuccessful in removing items. Talisha Braxton, 24, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglarous Tools, Destruction of Property, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Fugitive from Justice. She was held on no bond.

ROBBERY, 2017-09070122, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 12:13 p.m. on September 7, officers responded to the report of a strong arm robbery. Upon arrival it was determined that two male suspects entered a business and stole items of value. As the suspects fled the business, a female victim was pushed down. The victim was not injured. Officers searched the area with negative results. The suspects are described as a black male, approximately 15-18 years old, dark complexion, wearing black jeans, a navy and white jacket, and sneakers. The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 15-18 years old, with a dark complexion and thin face, wearing skinny black jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2017-09100209, 1100 block of S. George Mason Drive. At approximately 8:43 p.m. on September 10, police responded to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by three male suspects who asked for a dollar. As the victim removed money from his person, he was assaulted by one of the suspects and his money was stolen. The suspects fled the scene on foot and a canvas of the area by responding officers was negative. Medics transported the victim to Virginia Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects are described as three black males between the ages of 18 to 21 with average builds.
ROBBERY (late), 2017-09120260, 2100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:13 p.m. on September 19 [sic], police were dispatched to the report of a late robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 11:30 a.m. on September 12, a male victim was approached by a male suspect who asked for a cigarette. While the victim was removing a cigarette from his person, the suspect shoved the victim to the ground and stole his personal belongings. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’9 to 5’11, with a medium build and black hair. He was wearing a light colored business suit at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
