A man threatened employees in a Pentagon City store on Wednesday before taking off with cash.
Police were called to the store in the 1500 block of S. Fern Street just before 8:30 p.m. for a report of a disorderly person inside. Upon arriving, they learned that the suspect became angry after a verbal dispute, then threatened employees with a bottle and demanded money.
The suspect reportedly stole cash from the register and other items before taking off. Police were unable to find him.

ROBBERY, 2018-05010255, 1500 block of S. Fern Street. At approximately 8:23 p.m. on May 1, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly subject inside a business. Upon arrival, it was determined that following a verbal dispute, the suspect became irate, threatened the employees with a bottle and demanded money. The suspect then went behind the counter and stole cash from the cash register and other items of value. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. A lookout was broadcast and arriving officers canvased the area with negative results. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, approximately 5’4″ and 145 lbs, with a thin build and short black dread locks, wearing a black, red and white baseball hat, a white hooded sweatshirt with dark writing on it, and acid washed light blue jeans.

DISCHARGE FIREARM INTO OCCUPIED BUILDING, 2018-04270013, 3900 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 12:51 a.m. on April 27, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim heard a loud noise inside of their residence and subsequently located a small hole in an interior wall and a metallic object. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that while cleaning their firearm, the suspect allegedly discharged the weapon from inside of a neighboring apartment, resulting in the damage to the victim’s residence. Alexander Kreitler, 28, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Building.
BURGLARY, 2018-04280061, 400 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 5:50 a.m. on April 28, police were dispatched to the report of a commercial burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a construction site and stole numerous items of value before fleeing the scene in a van. There is no suspect(s) description. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model U-Haul 9-Foot Ford Transit Van with Arizona license plates partially covered with tape. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2018-04260040, 700 block of N. George Mason Drive. Between April 14 and April 20, an unknown suspect entered the basement of a residence and stole an item of value. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2018-04260180, 2000 block of N. Vermont Street. At approximately 6:49 p.m. on April 26, police responded to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect entered an unlocked apartment and stole personal property belonging to the resident. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
