This week’s Arlington Pet of the Week is Emi, a native Hawaiian cat who still enjoys celebrating the Christmas season.
Here’s what her owner, Chelsea, had to say on her behalf:
Aloha, I’m Emi! I’m new to the Arlington area hailing from Oahu, HI. My moms adopted me straight off the streets of Kailua and I’ve been living it up ever since.
In my free time I enjoy surfing, napping, splooting, meowing, and head scratches. My grandma makes me bandanas and cushions to lounge on but I’m a diva and am too good for them. I love helping my moms pick new craft beers to try and have even been featured on @CatsOnTap — so I’m a pretty big deal. On Saturdays you can catch me cheering on my Ole Miss Rebels — Hotty Toddy! And on Sundays I love watching the Redskins play! I’m loving the cool weather but really miss the sand between my claws and the trade winds through my fur.
Last holiday season I was lucky enough to get my picture with Santa and Mrs. Paws and even though I’ve never seen snow, my moms say it’s really awesome and I can’t wait to get my peets in it. Meow-halo for reading and if you’re biking/walking the W&OD trail, look me up, I’m the torti watching the world go by from my three-tier tower.
