Crime Report: Female Escort Sexually Assaulted

A female escort was held against her will and sexually assaulted in a Crystal City hotel room last week, according to the latest Arlington County crime report.

ABDUCTION WITH INTENT TO DEFILE / SEXUAL ASSAULT, 01/19/12, 2000 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. On January 19, around 8 pm, a female escort was held against her will in a hotel room while an unknown male sexually assaulted her. The suspect is a black male, 30-39, 170 lbs.

This is the third time in recent memory that a crime against an escort has been reported in Crystal City. A local man was arrested on Nov. 4, 2010, after allegedly forcing two prostitutes to perform sex acts at gunpoint. Then on Dec. 15, 2011, a female escort was robbed of cash at gunpoint on the 2000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Also in Crystal City last week, several men are accused of going to a 23rd Street nail salon, then skipping out on the bill. One suspect even allegedly took $1,500 from an employee’s purse.

GRAND LARCENY, 01/18/12, 500 block of S. 23rd Street. On January 17 at 4 pm, five suspects entered a nail salon, received service and left without paying. While distracting salon staff, one of the subjects stole $1,500 cash from an employee’s purse. All suspects were black males, 25-30 years of age; however three were dressed in female clothes and wore wigs.

Finally, a young woman is accused of robbing a juvenile at gunpoint during a pot deal in the East Falls Church area.

ARMED ROBBERY, 01/24/12, 2600 block of N. Winchester Street. Shortly after 6 pm on January 24, an unknown female suspect brandished a handgun and robbed a juvenile for $100 cash during a marijuana deal. Immediately after, the female fled the scene in a green SUV driven by another party. The suspect is described as an Asian female, approximately 18 years old, 5’5″, 120lbs, with a dark mole under her left eye.

ROBBERY, 01/20/12, 2000 block of S. Crystal Drive. On January 20 at 7:45 pm, a suspect on foot snatched a female’s backpack containing an iPad 2. The suspect is described as a black male, late teens, approximately 5’8″.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 01/22/12, 400 block of S. 23rd Street. Shortly after midnight on January 22, a male subject was assaulted by another male at a convenience store. The suspect is described as a black male, late 20s, 5’10”, with a beard.

BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 6:30 pm on January 18, and 8 am on January 19, an unknown subject entered a commercial business and stole two laptops with chargers. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 6200 block of N. 18th Street. On January 19, between 11:30 am and 2 pm, an unknown suspect entered through a basement window of a residence. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 1800 block of N. Quantico Street. Between the hours of 12 and 3 pm, on January 19, an unknown subject entered a residence through a back door. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 6300 block of N. 11th Road. On January 19, between 8:45 am and 6:45 pm, a subject entered a residence through a basement window and stole various items. There is no suspect description

LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/19/12, 1200 block of S. Courthouse Road. Numerous parts from a garage-parked motorcycle were stolen. The victim last saw his motorcycle intact on January 7. A surveillance camera was in the garage; however, employees had no knowledge of how the system worked.

LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/22/12, 3200 block of Columbia Pike. Between 10 am and 9:45 pm on January 22, an unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle and stole various items, including credit cards and a camera. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/20/12, 2400 block of S. Army/Navy Drive. Between 7 pm on January 19, and 7:15 am on January 20, an unknown suspect broke a vehicles passenger window and stole a GPS device. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/20/12, 2400 block of S. Army/Navy Drive. Between 11 pm on January 19, and 7:15 am on January 20, a victim’s passenger side window was smashed and a GPS device was stolen. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/22/12, 5100 block of S. 8th Road. Between 11:30 pm on January 21, and 1:30 am on January 22, a laptop computer and VRE tickets were stolen from the backseat of an SUV. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 01/23/12, 1600 block of N. George Mason Drive. Between 12:45 pm and 2:30 pm on January 23, an unknown subject broke into several vehicles located in a parking garage. No items were reported missing. However, during the same time frame, a stolen vehicle was reported out of the same garage. There is no suspect description.

RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 01/20/12, 3800 block of N. Pershing Drive. On January 20 at 7:35 am, a stolen vehicle was located after an alert came through to an officer’s License Plate Reader system.
