An Arlington man has been charged with abduction and domestic assault and battery after police say he tried to tie his girlfriend’s hands behind her back during a fight.
From this week’s Arlington County crime report:
ABDUCTION, 06/15/12, 300 block of S. Adams Street. At 2 pm on June 15, a female victim and her boyfriend got into a physical altercation. During the fight, the suspect held the victim down on the bed and attempted to tie her hands behind her back with zip ties. The victim was able to bite the suspect on the arm and he left the room. Jeffrey Teagno, 24, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with abduction and domestic assault and battery. He was held without bond.
The suspect, Jeffrey Teagno, is listed by Virginia State Police as a registered sex offender for possession of child pornography in 2009.

ROBBERY, 06/17/12, 1000 block of N. Patrick Henry Drive. On June 17 at 1 am, a adult male victim was assaulted by a group of unknown subjects along a bike path. His phone and a small amount of cash were taken. There is no suspect description.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 06/16/12, 1200 block of S. Edgewood Street. At 5 pm on June 16, a subject was arrested after assaulting his girlfriend and hitting her friend with a 2×4. Marvin Alberto Portillo-Barillas, 45, of Falls Church, VA, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and domestic assault and battery. He was held without bond.
BURGLARY, 06/15/12, 300 block of S. Pershing Drive. On June 15 at 4:15 am, a victim was alerted of a burglary when her automatic garage door was activated. Police arrived on scene and arrested a subject that was in possession of numerous stolen items. Daniel Cruz, 27, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with burglary, petit larceny and petit larceny from a vehicle. He was held without bond.
BURGLARY, 06/13/12, 4900 block of S. Chesterfield Road. At 2:26 am on June 13, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into Wakefield HS and vandalized the school. There is no suspect description.
BRANDISHING A FIREARM, 06/15/12, 4200 block of N. Glebe Road. On June 15 at 9 am, a firearm was brandished after the victim gave the subject the finger. The subject stopped his vehicle and approached the victim with the firearm. The subject left the scene without further incident. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30-40 years old, 5’9″-6′ tall with a slim build. He was wearing aviator sunglasses, a white shirt with slim black tie and dark slacks at the time. The victim described the vehicle as a older model green Jeep Cherokee with unknown West Virginia tags.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 06/16/12, 800 block of Army Navy Drive. Between 2:39 and 3:57 pm on June 16, an unknown subject(s) broke into several vehicles at the mall parking garage and stole numerous items to include cash, jewelry and a parking pass. There is no suspect description.
