Crime Report: Husband Stabbed in Arm

For the second week in a row, a woman has been arrested and accused of stabbing her significant other.

Police say the woman, an Arlington Heights neighborhood resident, stabbed her husband with a folding knife. From this week’s Arlington County crime report:

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 01/03/2013, 800 block of S. Ivy Street. At 7:55 pm on January 3, a married couple got into a verbal dispute. The argument escalated and the wife stabbed her husband in his arm with a folding knife. The victim was transported to Virginia Hospital Center for medical treatment of the stab wound. Aliyma Imaan Williams, 20, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.

ROBBERY, 01/05/13, 1300 block of N. Lee Highway. At 11:30 pm on January 5, the subject approached the victim in Gateway Park. The subject and victim got into a verbal altercation over money. The altercation escalated and the subject struck the victim in the face before fleeing the scene by foot. Jeffery Johnson, 49, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with attempted robbery. He is being held without bond.

BURGLARY, 01/08/13, 1600 block of N. George Mason Drive. Between 5 pm on January 2 and 12:32 pm on January 8, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole several articles of jewelry. The subject(s) forced entry into the home through a door. Some doors within the home were damaged and items were out of place. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 01/07/13, 2200 block of S. Crystal Drive. Between 6 pm on January 4 and 7:30 am on January 7, an unknown subject(s) entered a business and stole two laptops. The subject(s) forced entry into the business through a door. There is no suspect(s) description.

ROBBERY, 01/02/13, 1900 block of S. Bell Street. Between 4:00 pm on December 21 and 8:40 am on January 2, an unknown subject(s) broke into a business that was closed during the holidays. When two employees returned for work on January 2, they noticed that items in their desks had been moved around. Nothing appeared to be stolen and there were no signs of forced entry. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 01/03/13, 3900 block of N. 5th Street. Between 11:20 am and 11:33 am on January 3, an unknown subject(s) broke into a home through a window. Several unoccupied rooms were entered, but the only item that was stolen was some cash left on the kitchen counter. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 01/03/13, 1100 block of N. Highland Street. Between 10:30 pm on January 2 and 9:20 am on January 3, an unknown subject(s) broke into a restaurant and stole the cash register drawer. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else appeared to be missing. There is no suspect(s) description.
