Police are investigating a string of creepy crimes in North Arlington.
Early Monday morning, a suspect was seen peeping into a bedroom window in Cherrydale.
PEEPING TOM, 140203028, 2100 block of N. Taylor Street. On February 3 at 2:15pm, a victim reported that around 1am that previous night, while he was sleeping, his girlfriend awoke and saw an unknown subject’s shadow looking into the bedroom window. The victim then yelled and the suspect fled. There is no suspect description.
Later Monday morning, a man in the North Highland neighborhood allegedly ran up and touched a woman’s behind while pleasuring himself.
SEXUAL BATTERY, 140203015, 1600 block of N. 21st Street. On February 3 at 9:56am, a suspect touched a victim’s buttocks as she walked past him and then she turned to see the suspect masturbating. The victim fled the scene. The suspect is described as an approximately 5’9″ white or Hispanic male in his thirties. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing red plaid pajama pants and a multi-colored headband. The investigation is ongoing.
Monday evening, a woman in Lyon Park reported that someone had moved a lawn chair in her backyard and used it to peep into her bedroom.
PEEPING TOM, 140203047, 700 block of N. Cleveland Street. On February 3 at 7:02pm, a victim reported that between 1/30/14 and 2/3/14, an unknown subject had moved a lawn chair from her backyard to the side of her house, below a bedroom window. It appears that the suspect stood on the chair to see into the bedroom. There is no suspect description.

STRONG ARM ROBBERY, 140131006, 1200 block of N. Herndon Street. At 12:20 am on January 31, a 28 year-old male victim was stopped by two subjects on the sidewalk. One of the subjects held the victim’s throat while the other subject went through his pockets. The suspects fled the scene on foot with the victim’s keys. Suspect one is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’9″ tall and 160 lbs. He was wearing a red Under Armour sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident. Suspect two is described as a Hispanic male, 5’9″ tall and 160 lbs, wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans.
ARMED ROBBERY, 140131040, 2700 block of S. Eads Street. On January 31 at 1:54pm, a 37 year-old victim reported that she was robbed of her purse and cell phone by a Hispanic man with a gun. The subject handed the victim’s items to a second subject before they fled the scene towards Eads park. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his early twenties, and approximately 5’3″. He was wearing a dark knit hat, dark scarf covering his face, a dark coat, and jeans at the time of the incident. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties with curly black hair, and approximately 5’5″ with a thin build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black and blue hooded coat and dark pants.
ARMED ROBBERY, 140203049, 3100 block of S. Glebe Road. On February 3 at 8:26pm, a victim reported that three men held him at gunpoint and demanded his cell phone. The suspects stole the victim’s phone, wallet, and other belongings. The suspects then fled the scene. All three suspects were of medium build, ranging from 5’8″ to 6’0″ in height, and appeared approximately 17 to 18 years of age. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 140130029, 1100 block of S. Thomas Street. At 9:21 am on January 30, a resident arrived home to find a juvenile subject standing outside his open apartment window with a backpack. The suspect fled on foot and police located him a few blocks away. The juvenile was charged.
BURGLARY, 140201014, 1800 block of N. Columbus Street. On February 1 between 3:05am and 3:15am, an unknown subject(s) broke into an occupied residence through a side entry door. The victim’s laptop was stolen. There is no suspect(s) description.
BURGLARY, 140203041, 2300 block of S. Pierce Street. On February 3 around 5:36pm, two victims returned home and noticed their belongings had been gone through. The victims had various electronics and jewelry that were stolen. A window at the rear of the house was found broken. There is no suspect(s) description at this time.
BURGLARY, 140204050, 5900 block of N. 28th Street. On February 4 at 7:32pm, a neighbor heard a loud noise coming from the rear of a vacant residence and contacted police. Police arrived on scene and determined that copper piping had been removed from the property. There are no suspect(s) at this time.
BURGLARY, 140204012, 1600 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. On February 4 at 9:50am, a victim reported that an unknown suspect(s) had stolen copper wiring from the location. The incident appears to have occurred over a span of two months. There is no suspect(s) description.
