Back to Creativity and Imagination with Encore! In-person, Outdoor Classes Start Next Week!

This Community Post was written by Encore Stage & Studio and underwritten by The Fred Schnider Investment Group/Fred Schnider Gallery of Art and Embracing Arlington Arts supporter Annie Sweeney.

Back to school and back to creativity with Encore Stage & Studio. Small group classes for all ages begin next week, including our popular Monday morning camp for Elementary students.

Classes are held outdoors with all staff and students wearing masks and following COVID-19 health and cleaning protocols. We are excited to provide an opportunity for students to spend (socially-distanced) time with friends and activate their imaginations!

After-school and Saturday morning classes include Wild Things (K-1), Adventures in Neverland (2-3), Detective Stories (4-5) and Character Creativity (6-8). Visit www.encorestage.org for more class titles. “Let’s Get Moving Mondays” camp program for Elementary students features movement, theatre games, and crafts led by Encore’s Teaching Artists every Monday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for all of September and October. Don’t miss our special Lion King Puppetry class for grades 6-12 on Mondays from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Registration now open. Full class descriptions are available on our website. Enroll online at www.encorestage.org. Virtual classes and workshops will be announced later this month.

“Theatre by Kids, for Kids!” Founded in 1967, Encore Stage & Studio’s mission is to inspire young people to develop their creativity, empathy and confidence to enrich themselves, their peers and their community.
