Allyship Snapshot Workshop
Tuesday, September 12, 2023
6:30-8:30 pm
NAACP Arlington Branch is hosting Service Never Sleeps’ amazing allyship workshop. This 2-hour workshop provides useful information and practical tools you can use immediately.
All are welcome! The training is designed for participants for both white and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) participants to learn the responsibilities and tools for Allyship in their individual areas of privilege.
Service Never Sleeps defines Allyship as an active way of life in one’s respective areas of privilege that centers bridge-building to pursue social justice for everyone. This is accomplished by centering BIPOC and other marginalized people, working on the self, and influencing others.
Using a racial justice lens, these Allyship trainings teach foundational knowledge about white supremacy and equip individuals in real time to address discrimination and promote social justice in everyday life.
In the interest of equity, tickets are offered through a pay-what-you-can model. We’re counting on you to tell us what’s right for you. We encourage you to attend whether pay-what-you-can means $0 or $200 for you. Every donation makes a difference. (Any additional funds raised will be donated to Service Never Sleep’s Black-Led Project.)
