Arlington, VA (November 2022) – Ballston Quarter is kicking off the holiday season with festive events and photos with Santa. Visitors to the shopping and dining destination can celebrate the season this year with festive music and hot cocoa, a very special Holiday Dog Party, and lots of jolly holiday spirit.
This year’s festive event lineup includes:
Santa Claus is coming to Ballston Quarter! Every Saturday and Sunday from December 3rd through December 19th, and everyday from December 19th-24th, visitors can get the perfect holiday photo with the jolly man decked out in red. Photos will take place on Level 1 in the mall near the Wilson Blvd street entrance between 11 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and weekdays after December 19th, and 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sundays. On Saturday, December 3, 10, and 17, Ballston Quarter will host a special holiday event series, Tunes & Treats! Holiday hits will play throughout Ballston Quarter while you wait for your photo with Saint Nick. On December 3rd, Maestro The Cellist will perform live festive melodies. On December 10th, Clear Harmonies Carolers will sing hits. And on December 17th, DJ Cyd will fill the air with Holiday vibes. Ballston Quarter’s SideKick Bakery will sweeten your day by handing out free cups of hot cocoa and mini tarts to snack and sip on from 2 – 6 p.m.
In addition to the festivities, Ballston Quarter has partnered with The Capital Area Food Bank to raise funds and collect canned goods to support those in need. During this event series, visitors who donate canned goods or a monetary gift will receive a Ballston Quarter swag bag with a special gift inside.
Throughout the holiday season, QR codes can be found throughout the property to donate to Capital Area Food Bank, or donations can be made directly online here.
Ballston Quarter welcomes you and your furry friends to the Holiday Dog Party in Quarter Market. On December 17th, join us and dress your pup up in their best holiday fit to strike a pose at the photo booth. Your pups will be rewarded for their big smiles with pup cups from South Block and swag bags from Heart + Paw. In addition to swag bags, Heart + Paw will offer event guests free tours of their space and a chance to meet their in-house veterinarians. For two-legged companions, bartaco and SideKick Bakery will be handing out bite-sized samples in Quarter Market, while holiday hits by DJ CYD add more holiday cheer to the plaza.
To add to the fun, Ballston Quarter will run a social media giveaway during the Holiday Dog Party. Post your photo with your pup in their holiday best and use the hashtag #BQHolidays to enter to win a Heart + Paw gift card.
