Police and medics are on scene of a three-vehicle crash on S. Glebe Road.
Initial reports suggest a car and a Jeep collided head-on and another car ran into a light pole at the intersection of S. Glebe Road and 12th Street, in front of the Post Office. Medics are evaluating vehicle occupants for injuries.
One southbound lane of Glebe is currently blocked just south of Columbia Pike, according to scanner traffic. Drivers should expect significant traffic impacts in the area.

(Updated 8:25 a.m.) Columbia Pike’s eastbound lanes have reopened. Those nearby can expect residual delays.
Earlier: The eastbound lanes of Columbia Pike between S. Courthouse Road and Washington Blvd closed this morning after a traffic crash.
Arlington County Police said the crash happened at S. Scott Street. They closed the Pike around 6:50 a.m.
Drivers heading east can expect significant delays, and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
Metro’s 16A, 16B, 16G, 16H, 16J and 16X routes all are experiencing delays on the Pike, as well as ART’s 42 and 74 routes, which also run through the area.

A vehicle overturned on the road from Shirlington to Fairlington Monday night.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on the 4200 block of 31st Street S.
It’s unclear how the crash happened. At least one parked car had visible damage near the flipped car.
It was initially reported that one person was trapped in the car, but that person was able to “self-extricate,” according to scanner traffic. No serious injuries were reported.
The road was closed following the wreck, while police waited for a tow crew to arrive.
(Updated at 2:20 p.m.) Police and firefighters responded to a crash involving a car and a dump truck on I-395 Friday afternoon.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. on northbound I-395, approaching Washington Blvd. The force of the collision trapped the driver inside the car; firefighters had to heavy tools to cut one of the doors open to extricate her.
The driver of the car is being evaluated for injuries. As of 1:15 p.m. at least two left-hand lanes of northbound I-395 were closed.

Power is out in parts of Seven Corners after a truck brought down power lines behind the Eden Center in Falls Church.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the rear of the shopping center. Two utility poles were snapped in half as a result of the collision.
At one point, nearly 2,500 Dominion customers were without power in the area, including in parts of Arlington County. As of 3:30 p.m. Dominion was no longer reporting any outages in Arlington.
The Arlington County Fire Department responded to the scene for sparking power lines and a spill of mineral oil from the transformers. ACFD has since turned over the scene to Dominion, which will be cleaning up the spill, according to scanner traffic.
Some traffic signals in Seven Corners may be affected by the outages, according to Fairfax County Police.

Update at 3:25 p.m. — One person has died as a result of the crash, which involved two construction vehicles, according to an updated statement from Virginia State Police.
At 2:21 a.m., Tuesday (Aug. 22), Virginia State Police Trooper A.J. Santiago responded to a fatal crash in the southbound Express Lanes of I-395 near Exit 10C in Arlington County.
At the time of the crash, the Express Lanes were closed to the public because of an active highway work zone for pavement repairs. A dump truck had just entered the work zone and was traveling south to deliver its load of paving material. Another work zone vehicle, a pickup truck, was traveling north in the closed southbound Express Lanes and as it came through a bend in the highway collided head-on with the southbound dump truck.
The driver of the pickup truck, Brian S. Kilburne, 55, of Fredericksburg, Va., was transported to George Washington University Hospital, where he died later Monday morning. His two passengers were transported to George Washington University Hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured in the crash.
The Virginia State Police Fairfax Division Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is assisting with the ongoing crash investigation.
Earlier: The inbound HOV lanes of I-395 have been closed during the morning rush hour due to a crash investigation.
The investigation is taking place just before the 14th Street Bridge, following an early morning crash involving a pickup truck and a dump truck. Three vehicle occupants were transported to the trauma center at George Washington University Hospital.
Police typically conduct accident investigations when a victim of a crash has life-threatening injuries.
The closure of the HOV lanes is causing major backups on the entire stretch of northbound I-395, particularly in Arlington. One driver, on Twitter, reported a 1 hour, 45 minute commute from Woodbridge.

Arlington Ridge Road is blocked by a downed utility pole following a crash, according to scanner traffic.
A vehicle reportedly ran into the pole along the 1900 block of Arlington Ridge Road, toppling it and blocking the street. At least one person is being evaluated for injuries by paramedics.
Arlington Ridge Road, a busy commuter route for those exiting from I-395, is closed between 19th and 20th Streets S. Police are on scene directing traffic.

A car flipped on Spout Run Parkway this morning, rolling down a steep slope into the woods nearby.
Officers from the U.S. Park Police responded to the southbound side of the parkway just after its intersection with Lorcom Lane around 10:45 a.m. today (Wednesday).
The driver appeared to lose control of the car before careering off the road and into the woods. There were no injuries reported.
Park Police were on scene, and by 11 a.m. a tow truck was on scene to remove the wrecked car. A police car occupied the right-hand lane nearby. There were no significant traffic impacts.
At least four other incidents of vehicles flipping or running into the woods along Spout Run Parkway have been reported over the past six years, including one incident last year of a motorcycle chase ending on the parkway.
A driver suffering some sort of medical emergency crashed his SUV into a utility pole and at least one other vehicle in Rosslyn this evening, according to scanner traffic.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. on the 1600 block of Fairfax Drive.
The man was transported to a local hospital via ambulance. His condition is unknown. The pole and the other vehicle appeared to suffer only minor damage.
