An SUV flipped on its side as a result of a two-vehicle crash on Wilson Blvd this morning.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Wilson and N. Rhodes Street, roughly between Rosslyn and Courthouse. The intersection is home to the Rhodeside Grill restaurant.
The road was blocked immediately following the crash, causing some traffic tie-ups.
No word yet on whether there were any injuries.

A teen driving a car with no license plates sped away from police but then crashed shortly thereafter.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Route 50 and Fillmore Street. Police say they didn’t pursue the car, in accordance with Arlington County Police Department policy against chasing suspects for traffic violations alone, but the driver was soon involved in a single-vehicle crash.

ELUDING, 2017-06080029, Arlington Boulevard at S. Fillmore Street. At approximately 2:30 a.m. on June 8, an officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle traveling with no license plates and attempted to conduct a traffic stop by activating their emergency equipment. The driver refused to stop, increased their speed and fled from the officer. A vehicle pursuit was not initiated. Shortly after, the Emergency Communication Center was notified of a single vehicle crash involving the suspect vehicle. The juvenile suspect was taken into custody and petitions were obtained for felony eluding, possession of stolen property, no operating license and no registration.
A collision in Clarendon led to two cars hopping the curb in front of Delhi Club restaurant Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of Clarendon Blvd and N. Highland Street. The cars then rolled onto the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, which is across from the Clarendon Metro station.
By one report, the at least one of the cars struck the building, but no serious damage was evident. No word on whether there were any injuries.

Police temporarily closed roads near the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City this afternoon after a Metrobus collided with a tour bus on S. Hayes Street.
The Metrobus’ front windshield was smashed by the collision just after 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of S. Hayes Street and 15th Street S., while the tour bus had some damage near its back right tire.
One driver complained of neck pain after the crash, according to scanner traffic. There were no other injuries, and both buses were empty.
Police directed traffic around the incident but did not close any additional lanes, with the Metrobus blocking 15th Street S. for a time until it moved out of the roadway under its own steam. Some debris was left near the scene after the accident, but was cleared by officers.
Officers reopened 15th Street S. by 1:30 p.m., with the Metrobus moved out of the intersection into the right-hand southbound lane of S. Hayes Street. Traffic could get by in the other lanes.
A collision between two cars that left one on its side closed two lanes of Lee Highway near the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Rosslyn.
The crash happened around 4 p.m., near the intersection with N. Oak Street. A driver heading west on Lee Highway in a grey Audi collided with an Infiniti looking to turn right from N. Oak Street. The two collided, with the Infiniti left on its side.
Police closed the two outside lanes of Lee Highway, but left traffic through in the right-hand lane with an officer directing traffic.
Paramedics were dispatched for three reported injuries according to scanner traffic, none of them said to be life-threatening. Medics did not appear to require a stretcher, as it was removed with no one in it.
Just before 4:30 p.m., crews were preparing a winch to upright the stricken Infiniti. The Audi’s front was smashed in and it was still in the roadway.
Police closed part of westbound Arlington Blvd during the Friday morning rush hour after a collision between two cars in Arlington Forest.
Officers shut Route 50 from just before N. Henderson Road to the intersection with N. Park Drive at around 8:30 a.m. Drivers heading west on Arlington Blvd. were diverted around the crash scene.
A police officer at the scene said it appeared that the driver of a gray Acura tried to turn left from the westbound lanes collided with a white Honda heading in the other direction. Neither driver appeared to sustain injuries, and the Acura was able to drive from the crash to a tow truck.
Firefighters and medics spread sand on the street to soak up any spilled fluids from the cars.
Both cars were removed from the accident scene at around 8:50 a.m. The eastbound lanes remained open, with traffic passing through as normal.
Police closed a section of Washington Blvd in Virginia Square this morning after a U.S. Postal Service truck struck a utility pole.
Officers shut down the 3400 block of Washington Blvd between N. Kirkwood and N. Lincoln streets just after 11 a.m. Thursday.
The driver of the truck told police she turned left from N. Kirkwood Street onto Washington Blvd, but in the heavy rain and slippery conditions lost control of the vehicle and hit the pole.
No injuries were reported, there was reportedly no other traffic nearby and businesses nearby did not appear to lose power.
Crews from Dominion Virginia Power were on the scene to repair the pole and the power lines attached to it.

A car flipped over after a crash on the southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway on Friday afternoon.
According to scanner traffic, the crash occurred just south of the Spout Run Parkway exit at around 3 p.m. A woman was reportedly ejected from a car by the impact. She was transported to the hospital at around 3:40 p.m. in a critical condition, per scanner traffic.
Arlington police and fire units responded to the area with U.S. Park Police, which stopped southbound traffic on the George Washington Parkway from Route 123 and the southbound ramp from the Spout Run Parkway.
At 3:50 p.m., Park Police said on Twitter that northbound lanes on the GW Parkway may also need to be closed temporarily.
Arlington police recommended travelers find an alternate route.
ABC7 reporter Kimberly Suiters reported seeing good samaritans trying to rescue the driver of the car that flipped.
A car flipped over after a collision near Williamsburg Middle School on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Williamsburg Boulevard and N. Harrison Street around 4 p.m.
A police officer at the scene said the driver of a Toyota Prius misjudged the speed of oncoming traffic while trying to turn left on a green signal. The car then collided with an oncoming black Toyota, which spun and flipped.
The white Prius sustained major damage to its front and had several pieces ripped off by the impact, but the driver was able to drive it to the side of the road under direction from police officers on the scene.
The officer said that there were minor injuries to the drivers. Police set up traffic cones around the scene and temporarily stopped traffic. The stoppage lasted for a short period, then cars were able to proceed slowly around the crash site.
A nearby resident who declined to be identified said he heard a loud bang, then saw the black car skid for approximately 15 or 20 yards before flipping over.
The crash took place while some students were leaving the school, and the resident said Williamsburg crossing guards were immediately on the scene to keep the children safe, including one from outside the school.
“If I want anyone on my team, I’d want that crossing guard,” the resident said.
A car and an Arlington County school bus carrying students collided Tuesday afternoon near Upton Hill Regional Park.
A red SUV and the school bus collided just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Wilson Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive. Neither vehicle appeared to sustain much damage other than a few small dents and scratches.
A police officer at the scene told ARLnow.com the crash was “very minor.”
Four police cruisers arrived at the scene and closed one lane of traffic behind the two vehicles. All other traffic proceeded as normal. Another school bus arrived around 3:30 p.m. to pick up the students, who remained on the bus after the crash.
Someone behind the wheel of a car crashed into another car in a parking lot off of Columbia Pike this afternoon, before crashing into a nearby storefront.
The collision happened at the TitleMax Title Loans business at 3045 Columbia Pike just after 2 p.m. today.
The driver of the car, who didn’t want to give her name, said the vehicle lurched forward three times on its own while she was at the wheel. It then collided with a second car and smashed the front window of the store.
A handful of customers at the next-door McDonald’s told ARLnow.com they heard a loud bang. One person suffered a minor injury in the crash, according to scanner traffic. Authorities did not close any roads nearby.
A Subway restaurant, an Allstate insurance agent and the Ethio Cafe are in the same plaza. None of the other stores were affected by the crash.
