On this week’s edition of the Neighborhood Spotlight, join Grace Buck of the Keri Shull Team as she introduces you to The Pinemoor, one of the newest additions to the culinary landscape of Clarendon! This southern-style eatery — which shows promise as one of the best places to get a steak in Arlington — first opened its doors in late July, after a months-long delay due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak.

In order to learn some more about this brand new spot for food and drinks in Arlington, we spoke with owner Reese Gardner and sampled some dishes from this protein paradise. Check out our thoughts in the video spotlight!

Do you want for us to shine a Spotlight on your favorite restaurant, bar, or thing to do in Arlington? Just leave a comment below and let us know — we’d love to check it out!

The Food

Although the interior of The Pinemoor has a distinctly “country” feel — thanks in large part to the enormous mural of Willie Nelson that graces the dining space — the menu does not draw from only a singular influence.

Steakhouse classics like the 14oz., grass-fed ribeye steak and succulent filet mignon are paired seamlessly with unique southern selections and gourmet appetizers. The Pinemoor even features a diverse selection of sources for their seafood, boasting both shrimp from the gulf coast and the more local crustaceans in their delectable crab cakes.

And no self-respecting southern joint could be complete without a taste of Dixie! The Pinemoor has options to sate even the most particular of southern palettes, including a pulled pork BBQ sandwich, Nashville Hot Chicken and amazing fried green tomatoes.

However, The Pinemoor does not simply offer re-creations of classic dishes — they innovate to deliver fresh new flavors! As evidence, one need not look further than their signature country caviar. This zesty bean dip is a starter that will certainly be familiar to many, but one that brings a unique twist on the “chips and dip” formula!

The Pinemoor also offers plenty of options for getting your leafy greens. In addition to some excellent choices of salads (all of which can be topped with steak, chicken, gulf shrimp or goat cheese), you can also enjoy their mouth-watering brussel sprouts, cauliflower mashed and the popular five cheeses truffled mac.

In fact, The Pinemoor’s bountiful variety of food is matched only by the wide selection of drinks!

The Drinks

The drink menu at The Pinemoor is, in a phrase, expertly crafted.

In addition to canned beers from around the country, visitors can enjoy a selection of local brews on tap. These include the Downright Pilsner, one of our favorite offerings from Port City Brewing in Alexandria. Just like the beer list, the selection of wines includes options from both local and exotic wineries, so make sure to be adventurous — you might discover a new favorite vintage!

In this week’s Neighborhood Spotlight, we are sharing a throwback video of some of the best places to eat in Crystal City! All of these restaurants and bars are open for in-house dining or take-out options right now, so you can enjoy their fare from the comfort of your own home if you want!

As always, we are looking for more places to highlight in our Spotlight series. So if you have a favorite restaurant or nightlife spot that you’d like to see us share, just let us know down in the comments — we’d love to check it out!

Bob & Edith’s Diner

As a 24/7 joint that’s been run by the same family for 3 generations of owners, Bob & Edith’s Diner has existed as a mainstay in the Arlington dining scene for over half a century. Bob and Edith Bolton first opened their doors in 1969, and their family has been serving traditional diner fare ever since.

If you are looking for a classic diner experience in Arlington, you can’t do much better than Bob & Edith’s. From the homey, “seat yourself” atmosphere to the no-nonsense, southern-inspired food, everything about this joint screams comfort.

Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant

You don’t have to go to Virginia Beach to get the full beachside experience in Virginia! Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant is a high-energy, vibrantly colored spot for cocktails and classic American fare in Crystal City.

As one of NoVA’s most prominent LGBTQ nightlife spots, Freddie’s has become famous for its welcoming atmosphere and drag nights, though there are plenty of other specials to enjoy, as well. Their signature “Crazy Hour” lasts from 4-7 p.m. on every night that they are open, and they host massively fun karaoke offerings to boot!

Please note that, during the current COVID-19 regulations, Freddie’s Beach Bar is offering curbside takeout as well as both interior and exterior dining. Their award-winning brunch is still available on the weekend, but it is now a menu-based experience as opposed to their traditional buffet style.

Federico Ristorante Italiano

Right down the road from Freddie’s is another establishment owned by Freddie Lutz, the Italian restaurant Federico!

For 25 years, Lutz worked as a maitre d’ at Cafe Italia, a long-standing institution in the world of Arlington food. When the eatery shuttered its doors in April of 2018, he stepped in to revive it as Federico.

Federico boasts authentic Italian food in Northern Virginia, as well as a unique collection of drinks and desserts to sate your appetite for the sweet and exotic!

It’s hard to go wrong with a great slice of pizza — but where can you find the best pizza in Arlington?

In this week’s Neighborhood Spotlight, we wanted to take a culinary tour of some of the best slices in the area. So join three of our amazing agents — Drew Carpenter, Elisa Seth, and Peter Applegate — as they take you on a journey to find the top pie around!

As always, we are looking for more places to highlight in our Spotlight series. So if you have a favorite restaurant or nightlife spot that you’d like to see us share, just let us know down in the comments — we’d love to check it out!

Without further ado, here are our top 3 favorite pizza spots in Arlington.

Wiseguy Pizza

Located just across the street from the Rosslyn Metro stop, Wiseguy Pizza is a premier place to grab a classic New York slice. Although inside dining is on hold during the COVID-19 regulations, customers can still get pizza for carryout, either by the slice or by the pie.

One of the best things about Wiseguy Pizza is the opportunity to mix-and-match your selection. The Rosslyn eatery offers 16 varieties of pre-made pies, including both classic choices like Pepperoni and Margherita and more out-there combinations such as a Penne Alla Vodka pizza. Alternatively, if you are feeling creative, choose your own toppings for a custom ‘za!

So if you are in the mood to get a taste of the Big Apple without leaving the Washington D.C. area, you can’t do better than Wiseguy Pizza!

Pupatella Pizza

There are a lot of places that claim to serve up Neapolitan pizza — but many of them aren’t selling true Naples-style ‘za. The recipe and baking style of Neapolitan pizza are on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list due to the meal’s immense cultural and historical significance. Because of this, pizzerias who want to whip up an authentic Neapolitan pie can have their process certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN).

So, where are you supposed to get authentic Neapolitan pizza in Arlington? Look no further than Pupatella Pizza! This fantastic pizzeria has two locations in Arlington, with one just a few blocks away from the Ballston Metro Station and the other near the National Cemetery in South Arlington.

Like everything else at the pizzeria, the oven is the pinnacle of authenticity — the owner commissioned this culinary crucible from a Neapolitan forge, and the bricks are even made using volcanic ash from the famous Mt. Vesuvius!

Fireworks Pizza

Rounding out our tour of Arlington’s top pizzerias is Fireworks Pizza, conveniently located in the Courthouse neighborhood of Arlington — just a short walk from the nearby metro station.

As the name implies, Fireworks specializes in artisanal wood-fired pies. Customers can build their own pizza or order one of the house suggestions, from traditional margherita ‘za to the award winning “Rise & Shine DC” — a pizza pie topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, and shredded potatoes.

Of course, few things pair better with a piping-hot pizza than a stiff drink — and Fireworks Pizza has plenty to offer from behind the bar! Beer lovers are sure to go gaga over the extensive menu of drafts. If beer isn’t your libation of choice, you can always accompany your ‘za with one of Fireworks’s signature cocktails!

Due to the continuing COVID-19 regulations, customers can dine inside of the storefront, but the indoor bar is not serving any drinks. However, their patio is open for service, complete with a fully stocked bar! In addition, Fireworks is offering curbside pick up of their meals, so you can enjoy one of the best takeout options in Arlington without having to even leave the car.

The Verdict

Each of these 3 pizzerias offers a wildly different flavor experience — and all of them are top-class in their fields!

No matter which of these 3 pizzerias you choose to visit next, however, you are sure to have a great experience — that’s because they are built on years of experience and innovation from the experts! Working with the experts is vitally important for getting a great pizza pie — but it’s even more important when you are trying to decide if you should sell your house now!

On this week’s edition of the Neighborhood Spotlight, join Keri Shull, founder of the Keri Shull Team, as she gives you a tour of 5 more of our favorite family-friendly playgrounds in Arlington.

Between amazing food, drinks and entertainment, there are plenty of great things to do in Arlington — but not all of it is family friendly. Luckily, when it comes to finding fun for the whole family, we are here to help! So take a look below to learn about 5 more of our favorite recreational parks!

Lyon Village Park

Sitting just south of Lee Highway, Lyon Village Park is a cute, 2-acre space that offers tons of fun activities. Families can enjoy their snacks at the picnic pavilion — and with so much fun to be had, you and yours are sure to work up an appetite!

This gorgeous park is great for toddlers and big kids alike, with enjoyable activities for all ages. In addition to spaces to place tennis and basketball, the park’s sprayground is a perfect way to escape the summer heat.

Rocky Run Park

Rocky Run Park is a great option for school-aged children and toddlers alike, with plenty of fun to be had across its 2 acres. Although there are distinct spaces for each age group, they are close enough together that parents or guardians can keep an eye on all their kids at once.

Little athletes are sure to fall in love with Rocky Run Park — in addition to a full-sized basketball court, the recreational area also features a turf field that is perfect for playing soccer or football. Rocky Run Park also has some convenient luxuries, such as public bathrooms and off-street parking options, that are much appreciated.

At the time of publication, Rocky Run Park is closed for ongoing repairs — so make sure you check the Arlington Parks and Recreation website regularly to see when you can come enjoy this great space!

Hayes Park

Located off of I-66 near the Virginia Square neighborhood is Hayes Park, another one of the best parks in Arlington. Hayes Park is the perfect place to enjoy a steamy summer day, with a great sprayground, fun play structures and courts for playing tennis or basketball.

Hayes Park is also fenced in for ultimate peace of mind, and the spot has an off-street parking lot and public bathrooms. This makes Hayes a great place to spend an afternoon — and you can pack a lunch or snack to enjoy at one of the picnic tables!

As NoVA enters the next phases of re-opening, residents are getting excited about returning to the best restaurants, bars and entertainment options in the area. That means that now is the perfect time to discover a new favorite spot or return to an old haunt — and we want to share one of our top choices with you!

So, with that in mind, join Caitlyn Kammerman as she gives you the low-down on The Spirits of ’76, one of the best places to get food and drinks in Arlington!

A Revolutionary New Experience

Walking through the doors of The Spirit of ’76 is like stepping through a particularly patriotic time machine. This locally owned eatery, sitting in the heart of the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, is decorated with all sorts of Americana and references to the colonial and revolutionary periods of the country’s history.

One of the most striking artistic features is the large Bennington Flag that adorns the wall. This variant of the American stars and stripes, which bears the number ’76’ on its canton, is a popular collector’s item with the history buffs who are interested in the early days of the republic. In the cozy atmosphere of The Spirits of ’76, it makes for a fine centerpiece.

John Rodas, one of the founding fathers of the eatery, tells us that not all of the decorations were brought in by the restaurant’s owners. “With the name Spirits of ’76,” he recounts, “we obviously wanted to give it a twist of some Americana — and some of our customers have actually donated some of the items.”

The name isn’t simply a reference to the American-themed decorations, however. In addition to an incredible ambience and great food, this beacon of independent restaurant culture carries 76 different varieties of bourbon.

Keeping the Spirits Alive

As you can probably tell from the name, libations are a staple of The Spirit of ’76. Patrons can choose from nearly 80 different types of bourbon for smooth sipping — in addition to a vast menu of unique mixed drinks!

In addition to classic favorites like a smooth Old Fashioned or refreshing Texas Mule, you’re sure to enjoy sipping on one of the house creations at The Spirit of ’76. Put a twist on a gin-based favorite with their ’76 Fizz — or pay homage to the ‘freedom fries’ movement with the cheekily named American ’76, a play on the popular French 75 drink.

And if you’re looking to beat the hot Arlington summer, then you’re in luck! The Spirits of ’76 offers pitchers of frozen cocktails, so you can get a cool treat with friends and family.

Liberate Your Appetite

Not all of the delicacies at The Spirit of ’76 are liquid, of course. There is also a robust menu of classic American fare and a variety of dishes to sate your appetite!

Start off with a plate of their signature wings, tossed in your choice of sauce, then move on to a scrumptious sandwich or set of tacos — everything on the menu is a savory treat. Personally, we recommend the fish tacos or one of the many options for burgers.

On this week’s edition of the Neighborhood Spotlight, join Keri Shull as she gives you a tour of 5 of our favorite family-friendly playgrounds in Arlington.

Between amazing food, drinks and entertainment, there are plenty of great things to do in Arlington — and as the region begins to re-open after the COVID-19 restrictions, some people are getting ready to get out of the home and enjoy the warm weather.

Luckily, when it comes to finding fun for the whole family, we are here to help! So take a look below to learn more about 5 of our favorite parks in Arlington.

Quincy Park

Sitting just a few steps away from the Virginia Square Metro stop, Quincy Park is one of our favorite recreational parks in all of Arlington. The beautiful park has a completely fenced-in playground and fun activities for people of all ages to enjoy.

The climbing ropes and swings are a great way for kids to let out some excess energy while having a great time. In addition to the play structure, there are also spots for organized sports in this 4-acre park, with a basketball court, 6 tennis courts, diamonds for baseball and softball, and even a sand court for volleyball!

Once you and yours have worn yourselves out from hours of fun, take some time to enjoy a picnic at one of several open-air tables or in the reservable, covered picnic pavilion.

Bluemont Park

If you’re looking for a family-friendly park that will bring you closer to nature, then look no further than Bluemont Park! This 70-acre space is as much of a nature reserve as it is a standard park, with tons of amazing options for fun activities. In addition to areas for sporting events and fitness activities, Bluemont features a fenced-in playground space that is designed for school-aged children.

Unlike many other recreational spaces, Bluemont Park has an enormous parking area and public bathroom facilities, which is a big plus when trying to decide where to take friends and family for a day of fun.

Thanks to the gorgeous, nature reserve-esque atmosphere and wide open spaces, Bluemont Park is a great place for people of all ages to get some exercise and fresh air.

Chestnut Hills Park

Who ever said that kids can’t learn and play at the same time? At Chestnut Hills, a 4.5-acre park in North Arlington, education and recreation are blended into a single, fun experience!

This is one of our favorite spots to play in Arlington, because it has areas for both younger and older kids and is completely fenced-in for maximum peace-of-mind. Keep in mind, however, that there is no off-street parking at this spot, and there are no public restrooms available.

As the days get hotter, there’s no better way to spend a sunny day than in the shade of Chestnut Hills Park — make sure to check it out!

On this week’s edition of the Neighborhood Spotlight, we want to share some of our favorite options for luxury condominiums in one of the D.C. area’s hottest neighborhoods, Rosslyn.

If you are looking for where to live if you work in Arlington, it’s hard to beat the Rosslyn neighborhood. With convenient access to two separate metro stops, and as an important business heart of the county, most places to live in Rosslyn come with short commute times and plenty of Arlington’s best entertainment options to explore once work hours are over. And best of all, there are some amazing options for luxury condos in Rosslyn, so you can enjoy all that the area has to offer from the comfort of your stylish home.

Last year, the expert agents of the Keri Shull Team created virtual tours of 3 of the most luxurious highrises in all of Arlington, located right in the heart of Rosslyn. Each one of these condos has a full suite of unique and eye-catching features — and any of them could be the perfect home for you!

Turnberry Tower

This 26-story highrise is the tallest residential building in the Washington, D.C. area — and it is a pinnacle of luxury, too! Turnberry Tower consists of 247 condo units, spanning from 1-4 bedroom options, with unbeatable views of the region’s iconic landmarks like the Key Bridge, Washington Monument and National Cathedral.

Inside of the building, residents can enjoy amenities such as a 24-hour valet, white-glove concierge services, an indoor swimming pool, complimentary cinema room, and an exclusive luxury spa and fitness center. The condos themselves are similarly high-end, with high ceilings, top-of-the-line cooking appliances, and direct-entry elevators for ultimate privacy and convenience.

Waterview Condos

Sitting on the bend of the Potomac, right at the foot of the Francis Scott Key Memorial Bridge, is a gorgeous, 31-story highrise: The Waterview. This building serves as both a hotel and a condominium community, with the bottom 15 floors being for temporary guests and the top levels containing the permanent residents.

The building was constructed in 2008 and is crafted to the highest standards of luxury with hardwood flooring throughout, gourmet kitchens and open floor plans. Residents can also enjoy the views of D.C. and Arlington from their enormous, floor-to-ceiling windows. The community itself features a health spa and cutting-edge fitness facility, as well as an unbelievable observation deck, located on the 31st floor, complete with outdoor cooking stations and a complete 360-degree view of the surrounding area.

As an amazing feature of the Waterview’s unique mixed function, residents of the building can take advantage of the Le Meridian hotel’s amenities. This means that condo owners can have valet parking for their guests, get their dry cleaning take care of, and even order room service from the hotel right up to their home!

The Pierce

One of the most exciting new developments in the world of Rosslyn luxury living is the construction of The Pierce, a new construction condominium community on Wilson Boulevard. This building will consist of 104 units across 27 floors, each of which features some of the most elegant luxury amenities around.

Each home features world-class cabinetry in the gourmet kitchen, heated floors in the unbeatable master bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows to give breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Residents can also take advantage of the community’s shared luxuries such as a resort-style pool on the rooftop terrace, a two-story fitness center, and a clubroom that is perfect for entertaining guests and loved ones.

All of this, when combined with the Pierce’s promise of white-glove service and the unbeatable location near the Rosslyn Metro and local shopping, means that the Pierce is set up to be one of the most amazing options for luxury living in Arlington in the coming years.

With many locals, not including fitness services in the list of essential businesses, a lot of people are looking for home workout exercises so they can stay active from the comfort of their own home.

At the Keri Shull Team, we know how important personal fitness is for many Arlingtonians, so we decided to ask an expert about how you can keep your blood pumping and stay limber during the COVID-19 lockdown!

Christa Aiken is a former member of the Washington Redskins’ cheerleading squad, traveling with the team for 4 years. Since leaving the team, she has begun teaching fitness classes at workout studios in Dupont Circle and Clarendon — and she joined the Keri Shull team as a member of our Buyer Advocate Team!

We met up with Christa in Rocky Run Park in Clarendon to show you some exercises that you can do at home! These workouts and stretches are a perfect way to get your morning started right, or to take a break from your work-at-home routine and get your muscles (and mind) loose! Here are the top 4 exercises for home workouts that Christa showed us:

Good Morning Stretch

Let’s face it — most of us don’t stretch as much as we probably should. The Good Morning Stretch is a great place to start building the habit of keeping your muscles warm and loose. The stretch itself is straightforward and beginner-friendly, but it is a great move for people of all experience levels

Here’s how you do a Good Morning Stretch: Stand up to your full height — make sure not to slouch your back at all! By keeping a good form with a straight back throughout the entire movement, you will ensure that your lower back gets a good stretch.

With your back and legs straight, steadily bend at the waist as far as you can or until your torso is parallel with the ground. Hold the stretch for a few moments, then slowly return to the starting position. It’s important to perform this stretch with steady motions so you can properly relax and warm your muscles.

Muscles targeted: The Good Morning Stretch is ideal for loosening the abdominal oblique muscles in your lower back, as well as the hamstrings in your upper leg. You might also feel a stretch in your calves.

Because of the ease of this stretch and the muscle groups targeted, it is an ideal movement for people who are seated for long periods of time. This quick exercise can help keep the muscles and tendons in your lower body loose and oxygenated, so make sure to take some breaks while working from home and do some Good Morning stretches.

Inchworm Into Runner’s Lunge

For a full-body stretch, there are few better exercises that you can do from home than the Inchworm Into Runner’s Lunge. This movement hits muscle groups across your entire body, making it an ideal stretch for improving mobility from tip to toe.

Here’s how you do an Inchworm Into Runner’s Lunge: Start like you would with a Good Morning stretch — back and legs straight, but not locked. Raise your arms above your head to stretch out your core and shoulders, then bend at the waist until you can put your fingertips on the ground in front of you. From there, walk your hands out while keeping your feet in place until your hands are a yard in front of your feet.

Lift your right hand off the ground and lunge your right leg forward, keeping your left hand and foot where they were. Your right foot and left hand should be even with each other, if possible. In a fluid motion, twist your torso until your right hand is pointed to the ceiling. Hold that position for a moment, then return your right hand and right foot to their original position and repeat the movement with your left hand and foot.

One of the best things about this movement is that you can perform it as a stretch or as a cardio exercise, depending on your speed. So not only is it great for getting muscles all across your body loose, it is also an effective way to get your heart rate up and your blood pumping!

Muscles Targeted: Because this exercise involves a lot of stability, it targets a large host of muscles across your body including your deltoids, triceps, pectorals and abdominal muscles in your upper body, as well as your glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings and calves in your lower body.

In our last Neighborhood Spotlight, we talked about 3 of our favorite places to get takeout or delivery food in Arlington, so you can enjoy some of the amazing local cuisine while giving back to the community and supporting Arlington restaurants.

We had a ton of people reach out to learn more about which of their favorite Arlington eateries are offering options of takeout and delivery — so for this week’s Neighborhood Spotlight, we want to share 3 more ways that you can get delicious food while supporting your local restaurants in Arlington. All three of these spots have closed their dining rooms to keep their patrons and employees safe, but have options for you to nosh on their unique fare right in the comfort of your own home.

Today, we are going to highlight 3 more Arlington favorites that you can get as take-out or delivery, so you can enjoy delicious food even during stay-at-home regulations.

First is Bronson Bierhall, a popular hangout spot and German eatery in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington. During less abnormal times, Bronson is a lively spot for fun, food and games in Arlington, with an impressive menu of German-inspired dishes and an ever-changing tap list of both local and imported brews. On top of that, Bronson is also home to a weekly “Yappy Hour,” a pet-friendly event where people can bring their dogs to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city with brats and beers.

You might not be able to lounge around and take in the beautiful architecture of the Bierhall for a while longer, but you can still get delicious brats and pretzels to satisfy your hunger for hearty German fare.

Bronson has made a quarantine menu of foods and drinks available for pickup and delivery — pair one of their signature sausages with a growler of your favorite Old World brew or a bottle of fine wines to recreate the pubhall feeling in your own home! To see the available menu and place an order, go to bronsonbierhall.com.

Quarterdeck is a staple of the culinary scene in Rosslyn, serving up some of the finest seasonal seafood in Arlington. Known primarily for their seasonal offerings of Maryland Blue Crab, Quarterdeck has a huge menu of varied seafood, sandwiches, and soups — so you can sate your appetite for both surf and turf at this Arlington landmark.

Even in the current lockdown, you can get delicious fast-casual seafood from one of NoVA’s #1 spots and enjoy it right in the comfort of your home! Although the dining room is closed to patrons, you can still order some of your favorite dishes to pick up and take home, including crab legs, peeled and steamed shrimp, hush puppies and whole blue crabs!

Plus, you can wash down your maritime meal with a delicious beer or wine, also available for pickup through Quarterdeck. Make sure to give them a call to learn more and place your order.

Since the stay-at-home order took effect in Virginia at the end of last month, a lot of people living in Arlington and other parts of NoVA have been looking for ways to feel normal again.

One of the best ways that we’ve found is to order food from some of the local favorites around the city. This gives you a chance to support local businesses during these trying times, get a taste of some of your favorite fare from Arlington’s best — and enjoy a nice meal without having to worry about groceries and cooking.

Today, we are going to highlight 3 Arlington favorites that you can get as take-out, so you can enjoy our local flavors from the comfort and convenience of your home.

First is Don Tito, one of our favorite places to get tacos and margaritas in Arlington. Usually, this popular taqueria offers some of the most fun you can have while grabbing a bite, with weekly events like Taco Tuesday and watch parties for sporting events. Of course, patrons won’t be able to attend these events — or dine in at the eatery — until social distancing orders are lifted… but you can still enjoy some of the best tacos and drinks in town!

Although you won’t be able to eat your food on the beautiful rooftop terrace, you can still enjoy some of Arlington’s most scrumptious cantina bites from the comfort of your own home. Best of all? Don Tito’s has created to-go versions of their locally famous margaritas, so you can bring the party right to your doorstep. You can order online for delivery or pick-up at dontitova.com.

Next, we have True Food Kitchen, located in the Ballston Quarter. Like many other stores and restaurants in the Quarter, True Food is doing everything possible to respect social distancing and other safety measures, while still providing nutritious and tasty meals to their patrons.

The Arlington location of True Food Kitchen is remaining open for take out and delivery services — including a special no-contact pick-up option to help protect staff and guests as best as possible. In addition to True Food’s delicious, health-conscious meals, you can order canned beer or bottles of wine with your pick-up or delivery order, so you can round out the True Food Kitchen experience with a refreshing drink. You can click here to place an order for delivery or no-contact pickup!

Finally, we want to talk about Tupelo Honey, home to some of Arlington’s most popular southern comfort food and one of the hottest brunches in the area. Although the dining room is closed to patrons, you can still get a taste of Dixie from the comfort of your own couch with Tupelo Honey’s delivery and pick-up options.

Like Don Tito and True Food Kitchen, Tupelo Honey is open for delivery and pick-up orders — and this includes their brunch options, as well as their lunch and dinner fare! Recreate your favorite weekend tradition with flaky biscuits, griddled potato pancakes and southern-style shrimp & grits!

On top of this, Tupelo Honey is also gearing up to offer BOGO take & bake meals, so you can pick up a meal for dinner and take a second one home to store — so you can heat it up and have southern comfort whenever you want!

Unfortunately, our needs can’t always take a backseat during times like these — that’s why essential businesses are staying open to help people who need it right now. This is true for restaurants like the ones listed above; and it’s also true for real estate teams like the Keri Shull Team. We know that many people can’t wait weeks or months to buy or sell a home, and we are dedicated to protecting those people’s physical and financial health.

So if you have any real estate needs that you have to take care of during these times, please contact the Keri Shull Team or schedule a time for a virtual meeting today.

With so many people affected by regulations surrounding the COVID-19 novel coronavirus, it’s more important than ever to support our communities and take care of one another. That’s why so many amazing members of the Keri Shull Team have taken the initiative to make a difference in our local area and support those who need it during this time.

We interviewed some of these agents to ask them how they decided to help out in the way that they are, and how other people can get involved in their philanthropy.

Providing Local Food to Local Hospitals

Libby Bish and Rafael Melo are using their ingenuity and resources to give back to two groups of people who have been affected by COVID-19: healthcare professionals and local restaurants. They have been using donations to purchase food from local restaurants and give it to local hospitals and first responders in the DMV.

With the recent stay-at-home orders that were issued across D.C., Maryland and Virginia, people have been asked to stay in their houses except to complete essential business. Restaurants have been restricted to take-out or delivery only.

As a result, a lot of restaurants have struggled to maintain their customer base in a time when a lot of industries are floundering. Libby and Rafael saw this happen to a client of theirs, and decided to take action to help support local restaurants.

“Restaurants all across the world are taking a severe blow and we want to help! You can too! We know that hospital staff are working tirelessly around the clock to protect and treat our people. We’d like to help the locals by helping the locals. Ordering catering from our local restaurants and delivering it to the local hospitals should help in the short term.”

Libby and Rafael knew that they could help two groups of people in need, at the same time. So they decided to purchase food from restaurants that needed to make sales and deliver it to local hospitals, where dedicated and selfless healthcare professionals are working around the clock to curb the spread of COVID-19.

In the short time since beginning their drive, Libby and Rafael have fed over 160 nurses and doctors with 6 catering trips — and they’re just getting started!
