Meet Banana, a lovely 1-year-old who would be the perfect addition to your family. This young lady loves attention as well as cuddles!

Her friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation have a few other things to say about her:

Banana is a lovely and friendly cat. She is very talkative and has the loudest turbocharged purr.

She likes being the center of attention and getting lots of pets, but will also happily chase after toys. She prefers to sleep right on you and always seeks out your company.

Banana’s ideal home is a quieter one with someone around a majority of the time. She would enjoy being an only cat, so she can soak up all of the attention, but she would also be okay sharing a home with an older, sedate cat.

Give a big welcome to the newest Adoptable Pet of the Week, Dolce. This 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier is an easygoing and lovable guy according to his friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation.

Dolce’s friends had a few more things to say about him:

Dolce is a sweet 10-year-old silky terrier looking for his forever home. He’s taken on the nickname Dooley and he’s small enough to easily tuck into your arms.

He loves being outside and will prance around, sniffing everything, for as long as you let him! Once inside, he’s a little less curious and is content to curl up by your side for a good nap. He loves getting and giving kisses while being hugged.

Dolce is fully house trained and well behaved. He doesn’t bark or beg. He would do best in a home where he’s the only dog or where the other dogs are the same size and temperament as him as he can be a little fearful of bigger dogs.

If you’re looking for a quiet, cute, and lovable little companion, Dolce would like to apply for that position! He’s an easygoing guy and if you open up your heart and home he will jump right in!

Has Dolce found his forever home in you? Learn more about Dolce and how to adopt him at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation.

Meet Michael Scott, a playful 2-year-old who is considered a cool cat by his friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation and this week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week.

His friends had a few things to say about him:

Unlike his namesake from The Office, our Michael Scott won’t boss you around and is an all-around likable guy.

While he can be quiet and reserved, don’t mistake his aloofness as stand-offish. On the contrary, this lap cat loves being petted and thinks long cuddle sessions are amazing. He’s also very playful and will let you know if he doesn’t think he’s had enough playtime.

His favorite pastime is to look out the window and watch the world (and birds) go by. This cool cat loves people and doesn’t mind other cats; however, he’d do best in a home without small children.

Michael Scott requires a special diet to keep his digestive system in check.

Say hello to the newest Adoptable Pet of the Week, Sadie! This energetic, 3-year-old lady will be your running partner and forever friend. Her friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation says she’s “always fully charged” and is looking for her forever home.

Here’s more of what her friends had to say about her:

If you are looking for an active partner to burn those quarantine pounds and get into beach shape, then Sadie is the girl for you. How to describe this beautiful and friendly girl — joyous, energetic, enthusiastic, playful, lively! This ball of energy lives life to the fullest and will always greet you with excited jumps and full-body wiggles. She eagerly joins any activity and experience you have to offer.

Sadie loves her walks (although she prefers runs), but if you don’t take the lead, she’ll gladly walk you. She is curious about so many things along the way (those hopping birds are just so tempting). She is a rough and rowdy player with other energetic dog buddies, running and wrestling with no off button. Sadie loves any and all toys and happily entertains herself with them (if they squeak even better).

This girl, with her zest for life, is wishing for her person or family without small children, who will include her in their active lifestyle and have time for continued training so that she can show off her brains as well as her beauty!

Give some love and cuddles to Eliza, this week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week! Her friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation say this one-year-old is a very special lady looking for a loving home for a relatively short period — Eliza has congestive heart failure which limits her life expectancy.

Here’s what Eliza’s friends had to say about her:

Eliza is a very special little lady who is looking for someone to give her a loving home for a relatively short period of time since she has congestive heart failure which limits her life expectancy. Her condition does not prevent her from being a fun, active cat, just like any youngster her age.

She likes to play, loves to climb and regularly has the “zoomies” and runs around for no particular reason except for the sheer fun of it. A curious and entertaining girl, she won’t keep you from your sleep because she gets all her energy out during the day and is quiet at night. Like all cats, she does enjoy a view out the window; she also keeps her people company during the day while they are working at home, especially if there is a bed or box for her to sit in nearby — she loves boxes of all kinds!

Eliza is not a needy cat and doesn’t particularly appreciate excessive attention. We do think she would be best in a home with small children and would do well with a more experienced cat owner since she does require oral medication for her condition.

Is Eliza the special lady you’ve been looking for? Check out her complete profile to learn more about how to adopt her and congestive heart failure.

Meet Tony, a 2-year-old Shepherd mix that’s looking for his soulmate. Your mission, should you accept, is to be Tony’s one and only human — his soulmate. His friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation say he’s a special dog looking to explore.

Here’s what Tony’s friends have to say about him:

Tony is a special dog looking for his soulmate. He would love to find a highly experienced, dog savvy adult companion living the single life who will take him to explore all the world has to offer.

Tony came to us all the way from the streets of Iran as a young puppy and is still adjusting to all the sights, smells and sounds of his new surroundings. Tony is wise beyond his years, has an insatiable thirst for training and already knows a handful of commands. As the old saying goes, practice makes perfect, so he will need someone who will be home most of the day who has the time, patience and dedication to continue his training.

With Tony, trust is earned, not given. He needs plenty of time to warm up to new people and can be quite protective of his human so he will need someone living as the only adult in a single-occupancy home. Tony is also working diligently on his dog manners and containing his reactivity when seeing other dogs on walks. Tony is not a fan of confined spaces so apartments and condos are not his cup of tea.

His wish list includes a single home with a fenced-in backyard to run, play fetch and release all his zoomies. Tony is already house-broken, crate-trained and sleeps through the night without incident. He told us that his requirements are quite modest: an experienced and single-occupancy person who will shower him with endless love and plenty of training (you), a warm spot to rest on (your lap), and cozy accommodations (your home). So, do you fit the bill? If yes, come meet Tony today and add some love, laughs and licks to your life!

Help Tony complete his mission in finding his forever home! Learn more about how to adopt Tony and check out his complete profile.

Welcome the newest Adoptable Pet of the Week, Marion. This colorful, almost 2-year-old is laid back and looking for her forever home (preferably without dogs).

Here’s what her friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation have to say about her:

Despite this black and orange tortie’s striking good looks, Marion is no snob.

This low-maintenance, playful and loving cat loves people and attention, favoring head and back side scratches. When feeling especially amorous, Marion will also stretch out on her back for tummy rubs.

This frisky cat favors chasing strings and batting toys around the house. She also enjoys cat scratchers, grass, catnip, and watching the birds and squirrels on the balcony.

Marion will do best in a calm environment, without dogs or small children.

Say hi to Lily and Daisy, Arlington’s latest Pet of the Week duo. These two fashionable ladies are Pugs who were rescued from the Great Salt Lake and now call Arlington their home.

Here’s what their owner had to say about the sisters:

These sisters have traded their hiking boots for bespoke couture as they enjoy a packed social calendar filled with brunches with “the girls” at various Arlington eateries, play dates at the Pug Meet Up, goat yoga and shopping trips to Dogma Pet Bakery.

A little shy with strangers, Lily needs some time before she jumps in your lap to give some kisses. Daisy has never met a stranger and will eagerly dance around you and offer huge licks from her tongue.

After a busy day sipping pawseccos and browsing Etsy, Lily likes to enjoy a “cigar” (her Petstages Deerhorn bone) with her evening watermelon. Daisy can be found cuddling her elephant stuffy and loves nothing more than curling up in a lap to snooze.

Welcome to these darling western ladies!

Meet Piper, the latest Adoptable Pet of the Week. This two-year-old Shepherd mix is full of energy and looking for a best friend. She’s currently available to foster from Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation.

Here’s what Piper has to say about herself:

Hello, I’m Piper. Like the Pied Piper but without the multicolored garments. No, I cannot play a magic pipe; I don’t have opposable thumbs. And no, I will not rid the town of rats by leading them to the river. But I will use my magical cuteness to lure you to be my best friend.

When you first meet me, I am kind of shy, but give me a chance and I will warm up to you and then warm your heart. Deep down, I am a two-year-old girl who would like to hang out with you and play fetch and tug-a-war.

I am still learning to walk well on a leash, and I really want someone to help teach me. I was thinking the ideal arrangement would be just you and me, no other dogs, cats or children to distract us from spending time with each other. And a fenced-in yard would be perfect, so I could run around.

Overall, I am excited about life and would like you to be part of mine. Can I be part of yours?

The newest Adoptable Pet of the Week is Smokey the cat! This 7-year-old is currently in a foster home, but looking for his forever home.

Here’s what his friends at Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation have to say about him:

Though he may not have much to say on wildfires, he does like to keep an eye on his humans!

Smokey likes to spend his time perched up high looking over everything. But when he does come down, be prepared to give him lots of pets and scratches — he can’t get enough love!

He can be a bit shy around new people, but seems to adapt quickly to them.

Like many cats, Smokey can get the zoomies, but tends to be calm and cool.

Only you can adopt Smokey!

Say hello to Arlington’s newest Pet of the Week, Whitlow. This 4-month-old Bernese Mountain puppy loves exploring. If you see Whitlow exploring around town, be sure to say hi — just make sure he sits first.

Here’s what Whitlow had to say about himself:

Hello Arlington! I’m Whitlow. Yes, named after Whitlow’s on Wilson where my mom and dad met on mug night. I’m sad I never went to Whitlow’s before it closed, but I’m still falling in love with Arlington as my new home.

I came home August 28 at 10 weeks old. I was 20 pounds back then. Everyone I meet in Arlington has been so nice to me, and they all tell me I’m going to be a big boy.

I love going to Charles Stewart Park to play with my neighborhood dog friends and watch the kids play soccer. I get very excited for my meals. My mom and dad spoil me with homemade liver treats and bites of steak. I’m a carnivore just like my papa bear.

I like to lay by the freezer after my walks to cool off. I can’t wait for winter! I’m not allowed on the couch yet, but I still try everyday. I’m a little unsure about car rides because I don’t know where I’m going. I’m excited to explore more places in Arlington and try new restaurants with my parents.
